Inside the Role

The Chief Information Officer (CIO) for the DTNA business is an executive leadership role responsible for defining and executing the IT strategy that enables DTNA’s business objectives. The role balances operational excellence with digital and AI-led transformation. The CIO has direct accountability for IT supporting Sales, After-Sales, Production Network, and Services, and indirect responsibility for IT infrastructure and cyber security, as well as IT oversight and coordination for Engineering and group functions (Finance, HR, Procurement). The position reports solid line to the Global CIO and dotted line to the Segment CEO, ensuring strong alignment between global IT strategy and DTNA business priorities.

What You Drive at DTNA

  • IT Strategy & Business Enablement: Define and deliver a comprehensive IT strategy for DTNA, ensuring reliable, scalable, and cost-effective IT services that support core business operations across sales, after-sales, production, network operations, and services.
  • Infrastructure & Cyber Security (Indirect Responsibility): Provide strategic oversight and governance for IT infrastructure and cyber security, ensuring resilience, availability, and protection of DTNA’s digital assets in alignment with global standards, regulatory requirements, and risk appetite.
  • Digital Transformation & AI Leadership: Lead DTNA’s AI agenda, including data platforms, advanced analytics, AI-enabled business processes, and responsible AI adoption at scale to drive productivity, quality, and customer value.
  • Enterprise Alignment & Governance: Ensure effective coordination of IT activities across Engineering and group functions (Finance, HR, Procurement), maintaining architectural consistency, strong governance, and alignment with enterprise platforms and processes.
  • Leadership & Stakeholder Management: Build and lead a high-performing IT organisation, act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, and manage strategic partners to maximise business value from technology investments.

Knowledge You Should Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field with 12+ years of related experience
  • At least 4 years of high-level leadership experience
  • Senior IT Leadership Experience in automotive, manufacturing, or industrial environments, with proven ability to operate at executive level in complex, global organisations.
  • Enterprise Systems & IT/OT Integration: Demonstrated leadership in large-scale ERP implementations (e.g. SAP), enterprise platforms, and integration of IT and operational technology.
  • Digital, Data & AI Expertise: Strong track record in driving digital transformation, building enterprise data and analytics capabilities, and scaling AI solutions responsibly.
  • Strategic & Collaborative Leadership: Excellent strategic thinking, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to align global IT direction to local business needs.

Exceptional Candidates Might Have

  • Master’s degree (e.g. Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or MBA) optional and advantageous.
