Full Job Description
Resource Innovations is seeking an experienced DSM Evaluation Manager - EM&V to join our growing team. As a DSM Evaluation Manager - EM&V with Resource Innovations, you will be responsible for technical support and project management services for the Advisory Services Group business unit, working on energy efficiency program planning, delivery and evaluation, with a focus on leading impact evaluations and providing engineering and analysis support.

Specific responsibilities will include supporting: leading impact evaluations, managing junior engineers/analysts, and reviewing work product for client delivery, while ensuring on-time and under budget performance of impact evaluations and other related tasks. Candidates with more than 5 years of work experience are encouraged to apply.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead and conduct impact evaluations and cost-effectiveness analyses of energy efficiency programs.
  • Manage projects to complete deliverables on time and within budget.
  • Develop scopes of work and budgets for new work.
  • Manage engineering and analysis support staff activities: field work, data collection, energy analyses, project research, etc.
  • Oversee primary and secondary data collection efforts as well as conducting data analysis.
  • Lead measurement and verification (M&V) activities for installed energy efficiency measures.
  • Develop data collection instruments and analysis tools/calculators.
  • Lead and support technical report writing; contribute to draft reports, including results and actionable recommendations.
  • Support senior staff with development of presentations, papers and proposals.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Requirements
    • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (i.e. engineering, environmental science with a focus on energy efficiency / energy management, or closely related industry).
    • 5+ years of working experience with 4+ years of experience with impact evaluation of energy efficiency programs.
    • Expert level understanding of building systems, energy end uses and equipment, specific in commercial and industrial sectors is desirable.
    • In-depth experience with energy assessments, analysis of energy data, and/or Measurement and Verification experience.
    • Experience preparing reports detailing analytical findings.
    • Excellent writing, communication, and computer skills are mandatory.
    • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, Teams and Outlook, and SharePoint.
    • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks with competing priorities
    • Ability to build relationships with clients and work in tandem to solve logistical and technical issues.

Compensation & Benefits

Resource Innovations offers competitive salaries based on a candidate's skills, experience and qualifications for the position. The compensation range for the base salary for this position is $122,000-$192,000 CAD . In addition to base pay, employees may be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus. The stated salary represents the expected compensation for this position. Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as the candidate's experience, education and location.
