Job SummaryThe Group Account Director is the most senior account lead on any given business or group of businesses, leading, inspiring and creating paths for creative and business opportunities. The Group Account Director is accountable for everything that happens on a business and identifies how and when to pull in the management group to support them, the team and the work.
Job Responsibilities - Lead client and agency team to deliver best-in-class creative work and responsible for quality of output and thinking on the account
- Maintain total account oversight by putting the right team in place across departments and geographies and understand when to provide structure and when ideas need freedom to flourish
- Be a trusted partner of senior clients and decision makers; build relationships beyond our day-to-day clients and into the C-suite of a client's organization
- Uncover opportunities for revenue growth and creative wins
- Possess a deep understanding of client business, objectives and how our work will drive their success
- Be a trusted leader of the agency team across all disciplines and the operational leader ultimately accountable for client- and agency-business success
- Drive annual fee negotiations and be responsible for developing and managing agency scope of work
- Demonstrate command over entire business from a macro-business point of view to details of key projects
- Set vision for account in line with agency goals and outline clear creative and business growth expectations for agency team
- Cover most senior clients, advising them on their business and leading them to the right solutions
- Own the account narrative internally, orchestrating agency-management involvement to drive agency agenda and deepen the relationship
- Strategically and assertively manage financial health of accounts, ensuring agency profitability
- Plot out organic growth with clear strategy and plan
- Participate in new business development
- Actively seek opportunities to contribute to the agency culture above and beyond current assignments and responsibilities
Basic Qualifications- Minimum of 9 years of client management experience or similar experience
Preferred Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent training and/or experience
- Experience working in or with an advertising agency
- Advanced knowledge of key business tools: Google Slides, Microsoft software
- Familiarity with accounting/math principles
- Flexibility to travel when needed
