Job Description:Our Parsons Houston office has a career opportunity for a Drainage Engineer II to join our team infrastructure design team. In this role, you will get to work on transportation and infrastructure design projects performing Hydrologic and Hydraulic (H&H) design and analysis.
What You'll Be Doing:- Engage in the hydrologic and hydraulic design and analysis of all aspects of transportation projects, including rivers, ponds, culverts, storm drains, floodplains and grading.
- Prepare and review drawings for final design, construction, detour, and erosion control and prepare and review design reports.
- Perform quantity calculations and produce/check engineering analytical data and related information to ensure the design and any technical reports are accurate.
- Development and creation of engineering products that meet customer quality requirements, with some supervision by more experienced staff engineers.
- Define the problem, establish the work scope, prepare the budget and schedule, plan the work, and report the work status.
- Detailed calculations, drawings, procurement documents, design and installation packages, proposal evaluations, technical reports, and detailed analyses.
- Provide support for other engineering activities as required.
- Provide input and technical guidance to CAD Designer/Drafters, Designers
What Required Skills You'll Bring:- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (or related field) and 5+ years of related work experience
- Engineer in Training (EIT) Certificate is preferred
- Professional Engineer (PE) license is desirable, but not required
- Solid experience with drainage design for transportation infrastructure is essential
- Working knowledge of CAD and other PC software packages typically associated with H&H and transportation engineering.

Salary Range: $74,800.00 - $130,900.00
