The Opportunity:

This role provides direct support to the DPAE Aircraft Carriers Activity Chief Information Office (ACIO) across all IT, IA, IS, and IM functions. You will serve as a central technical resource for NMCI and Flank Speed environments, support daily IT operations, ensure proper lifecycle management of equipment, and uphold Department of Navy standards for information security. This is an on‑site position requiring daily help desk coverage and a strong commitment to customer service, operational readiness, and continuous improvement across the DPAE Aircraft Carriers Team.



Responsibilities:

NMCI Support

  • Serve as the technical help desk for NMCI within the DPAE Aircraft Carriers organization.

  • Assist in developing NMCI Seat Order packages and general IT procurement requests.

  • Troubleshoot user issues related to NMCI and Flank Speed access and performance.

  • Maintain databases for NMCI and other IT equipment.

  • Support the development and management of NMCI data calls.

  • Participate in ongoing process and operational improvement efforts.

  • Manage paperwork preparation and disposal for all classified and unclassified IT equipment.

  • Maintain an in‑depth understanding of NMCI and Flank Speed account structures and requirements.

IT Operations

  • Interface with the DPAE Aircraft Carriers Team to support daily IT operational needs.

  • Monitor overall IT operations and act as the focal point for network or desktop issues that exceed standard help desk capabilities.

  • Address and resolve network, desktop, and general support issues.

  • Maintain and monitor system architecture and software licenses for legacy applications.

  • Provide user assistance and training for hardware, software, and peripheral devices.

  • Manage moves, floorplans, and buildouts in coordination with NAVSEA Operations.

  • Deliver system administration support for stand‑alone classified systems.

  • Assist with initial account access and provisioning.

  • Set up workstations for new and departing users.

  • Ensure users have proper access to systems and shared drives.

  • Keep IT equipment areas organized, clean, and safe.

  • Establish and maintain processes ensuring 100% IT equipment accountability.

  • Manage desk phone provisioning and functionality.

  • Support unclassified and secure VTC meetings.

  • Ensure conference room equipment is functioning properly.

  • Conduct weekly inventory of IT peripherals.

  • Conduct annual computer inventory.

  • Attend required meetings and maintain compliance with all Department of Navy requirements for handling sensitive information.

  • Maintain an active security clearance and SIPR account access.

  • Support offsite meetings to ensure technical readiness.

  • Provide exceptional customer service to the user community.

  • Staff the help desk on‑site daily from 0800–1600 (no telework).

  • Perform other mission‑required duties as assigned.



Qualifications:

Required: 

  • Must have an active DOD Secret Clearance

  • 3-5 years of experience in technical support of a DOD program.

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical or equivalent field.

  • Technical and financial knowledge for program management support

  • Ability to use Microsoft Teams, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel is required

  • Experience working in a DOD, military program



Desired:

  • 5+ years of experience in technical support of a DOD program.

  • Master's degree in a technical or equivalent field.

  • SharePoint experience is a plus

  • Flank Speed Account Service Tool  (FsAST) experience 

  • Inventory/ Database management skills.  

  • Nautilus/NMCI experience 

  • SharePoint site collection experience would be beneficial 

  • Power Apps experience

  • Navy acquisition experience on an ACAT 1 Program is a plus

  • US Navy or Marine Corps active duty experience is a plus

$72,700 - $149,200
