Job Description

The dotCMS Architect is responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing enterprise-level content management solutions using the dotCMS platform. The architect works closely with development teams, providing guidance on best practices, integration strategies, and system upgrades.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the technical design and architecture of dotCMS implementations for web and digital solutions.
  • Work with business and IT teams to gather requirements and translate them into robust, scalable solutions.
  • Develop integration strategies with third-party systems, APIs, and legacy platforms.
  • Establish standards for coding, deployment, and system maintenance to ensure quality and reliability.
  • Mentor and support developers, reviewing code and assisting with troubleshooting complex issues.
  • Stay current with dotCMS updates and industry best practices to recommend improvements and new features.


Qualifications

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Proven experience architecting and implementing solutions with dotCMS or similar CMS platforms.
  • Strong expertise in Java, RESTful APIs, and web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
  • Experience with cloud hosting environments, DevOps practices, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams.
  • Knowledge of security standards and performance optimization for web applications.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with enterprise-level CMS migrations and digital transformation projects.
  • Certified Java Developer or other industry-recognized certifications.
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Background in Agile methodologies and project management tools.
  • Experience integrating dotCMS with CRM, ERP, or marketing automation platforms.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a track record of innovative solutions.
