DOT Project Manager - AsphaltPosition OverviewWe are seeking a skilled DOT Project Manager specializing in Asphalt projects to oversee and manage the planning, execution, and completion of various road and paving projects. The ideal candidate will ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with all regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage asphalt paving projects from conception to completion.
- Coordinate with various stakeholders including contractors, engineers, and government agencies.
- Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and quality standards.
- Prepare project schedules, budgets, and reports while monitoring progress.
- Conduct site visits to assess project status and address any issues that arise.
- Oversee the estimation process for project bids and takeoffs.
- Utilize project management software tools such as Procore and HeavyBid for tracking.
- Prepare and manage project documentation and contracts.
- Implement best practices in construction management and safety protocols.
Qualifications- Extensive experience working on large scale Highway/Freeway Asphalt Projects
- Proven experience as a Project Manager in the construction or civil engineering industries.
- Strong understanding of asphalt and concrete paving processes.
- Familiarity with project management software such as Procore, HeavyBid, and BuilderTrend.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
- Knowledge of estimating processes and bid preparation.
- Strong proficiency in Excel and project management tools.
