Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate, intellectually curious, and technically skilled Solutions Engineer to join our growing DevOps team. In this role, you will be the trusted technical advisor and subject matter expert to our customers, with a specific focus on application-level and Agentic AI secrets management.

This role involves working closely with the sales team, product management, and engineering teams to better position, demonstrate, and evaluate Idira solutions to customers. Your mission is to help customers secure machine identities and secrets across their DevOps pipelines, cloud-native applications, AI Agents and hybrid infrastructure.

Idira Subject Matter Experts work with their business unit sales counterparts and are responsible for establishing the value of Idira solutions to prospective and current customers through demos, presentations, meetings, and proofs of concepts (POCs). SME's also help to create successful and happy customers by building relationships and technical trust with customers. The SME is seen internally and externally as a technical expert on Idira products in their category, as well as an industry expert in identity and secrets management.

Responsibilities
  • Build and deliver product demonstrations and sales presentations to create excitement around Idira technology.
  • Conduct POC evaluations of Idira products with prospective customers. Utilize your sales experience to position Idira's value and differentiators to acquire the technical win.
  • Act as the technical expert and trusted advisor for machine identity security solutions during the sales cycle.
  • Partner with Account Executives to articulate the value of Idira's solutions to technical and business stakeholders.
  • Conduct technical discovery sessions to understand customer environments, challenges, and security goals.
  • Translate customer requirements into solution architecture and deployment strategies.
  • Collaborate with product management and R&D to influence product direction and resolve customer issues.
  • Stay up to date on industry trends and emerging DevOps tools, Agentic AI frameworks, and best practices.
  • Assist in marketing efforts to generate pipeline and increase leads.
  • Deliver technical workshops, webinars, and training sessions to clients and internal teams.
  • Travel as needed to meet customers, attend conferences, or conduct on-site workshops.


Qualifications

Required:
  • 2+ years in a customer-facing pre-sales or solutions engineering role, ideally in the cybersecurity or DevOps tooling space.
  • Strong understanding of DevOps practices and tools (CI/CD pipelines, containers, Kubernetes, Terraform, Jenkins, etc.).
  • Experience working with Agentic AI frameworks, large language models (LLMs), or autonomous AI workflows to optimize engineering and automation processes.
  • Development experience in languages such as Python, Go, Java, or Node.js.
  • Scripting knowledge using tools such as PowerShell, or Bash.
  • Knowledge of modern non-human authentication approaches such as SPIFFE / SPIRE
  • Ability to work with REST APIs.
  • Deep curiosity about the DevOps landscape and a desire to stay ahead of industry trends
  • Familiarity with AI orchestration, prompt engineering, or integrating AI agents into development lifecycles.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to distill complex technical concepts into business value propositions.


Preferred Experience
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their secrets management systems.
  • Operational experience with PKI deployment and lifecycle management.
  • Prior experience with identity and access management (IAM), privileged access management (PAM), or secrets management solutions.
  • Knowledge of Zero Trust security models and security compliance frameworks.
  • Hands-on experience securing or deploying autonomous AI agents, including managing API keys, permissions, or secrets for Agentic AI workflows.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Kubernetes, CISSP, AWS, CyberArk Guardian or Defender) are a plus.


Compensation Disclosure

The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and work location. For candidates who receive an offer at the posted level, the starting base salary (for non-sales roles) or base salary + commission target (for sales/com-missioned roles) is expected to be the annual range listed below.
