The Opportunity

The Document Control Manager (DCM) provides operational leadership for enterprise document control services supporting engineering, procurement, manufacturing, construction, quality, commissioning, and turnover activities across Integra's projects and programs. The role is responsible for establishing and leading standardized document control operations that ensure project information is accurate, controlled, traceable, and accessible throughout the information lifecycle.

Reporting to the Director, Enterprise Information Management, the DCM leads document control personnel, implements enterprise standards, drives operational consistency, and supports successful project delivery through effective information control, regulatory compliance, and turnover readiness.

What you will do?

Operational Leadership
  • Lead and manage enterprise document control personnel supporting engineering, procurement, manufacturing, construction, quality, commissioning, and turnover activities.
  • Establish workload priorities, staffing plans, performance expectations, and resource allocation across projects and functional organizations.
  • Provide mentoring, coaching, and professional development for document control personnel.

Document Control Governance
  • Develop, implement, and maintain enterprise document control standards, procedures, work instructions, and best practices.
  • Ensure document control activities are performed consistently across projects, manufacturing facilities, and corporate functions.
  • Monitor compliance with contractual, regulatory, client, and enterprise document control requirements.

Information Lifecycle Management
  • Oversee the receipt, processing, distribution, revision, retention, archival, and disposition of controlled information.
  • Ensure engineering deliverables, vendor documentation, quality records, construction documentation, commissioning records, and turnover documentation are accurately managed throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Support information traceability and configuration integrity through established document control processes.
  • Systems & Technology
  • Lead administration and continuous improvement of document management platforms and associated workflows.
  • Partner with Information Technology and Engineering Systems to optimize integrations, automation, reporting, metadata, and information accessibility.
  • Support implementation and adoption of enterprise EDMS and related information management technologies.

Operational Performance
  • Establish and monitor document control KPIs and performance metrics.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce processing times, eliminate rework, and enhance information quality.
  • Support audits, assessments, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner with Engineering, Project Management, Procurement, Manufacturing, Construction, Quality, Commissioning, Operations, and Program Information Managers to ensure effective information flow across project execution.
  • Serve as the primary operational leader for document control activities supporting enterprise programs and projects.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Information Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline. Equivalent combinations of education, professional certifications, and relevant industry experience will also be considered.
  • Minimum 8 years of progressive experience supporting engineering, EPC, manufacturing, energy, construction, or similar project-based industries.
  • Minimum 3 years leading document control teams or information management functions.
  • Demonstrated experience implementing and improving document management systems, standards, and workflows.
  • Strong understanding of engineering documentation, project delivery, quality management, turnover, and information governance.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting large capital projects or EPC organizations.
  • Experience implementing EDMS platforms.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001, configuration management principles, and records management best practices.
  • Professional certifications in document control, project management, quality, or information management.
