As a Division Talent Leader, you’ll be the liaison/connection point from Field HR to key stakeholders/business Partners (i.e., Talent Development, Talent Acquisition, Business Leaders, HR Field Divisions – MWT, Food/Drug).

What is the work?
Strategy:
- Shapes and influences the division Talent Strategy plan, fostering collaboration across teams and stakeholders.
- Aligns priorities and focus within the division and with key stakeholders, ensuring strategic coherence.
- Leverages data analytics to drive informed talent decisions, aligning them with H-E-B, HR, and Divisional strategic objectives.
- Collaborates with Human Resources, Talent Development, Compensation, and others to build a seamless and robust talent pipeline.
- Provides frequent Talent outlook updates to Key Stakeholders. Facilitates the creation of a shared plan and prioritization for manager & leader development.
Program Management:
- Ensures effective and consistent talent processes across the Division (acquisition, development, reward, retention etc.).
- Partners with Talent Development to facilitate global talent mobility, people planning, and experiential moves within H-E-B.
- Provides leadership and support in designing, developing, and implementing talent programs, acting as a resource and connection point for Talent.
- Creates and manages dynamic, comprehensive succession plans that meet the business needs.
- Safeguards the health and fluidity of the talent pipeline for all roles (current & future, store, regional, divisional).
- Analyzes data (collaboratively with Talent Analytics) to inform targeted leadership development and address pipeline gaps (e.g., succession planning).
- Partners with Talent Acquisition and Division HR leaders to define, plan, and achieve hiring goals.
Operations:
Development & Onboarding
- Delivers a robust onboarding for new managers/leaders, expanding upon H-E-Beginnings.
- Partners with Talent Development to invest in programs that support future talent needs.
- Identifies just in time training needs to ensure successful talent acceleration.
- Guarantees consistent delivery of training content across the Division.
- Manages logistics for development experiences for identified leaders and above.
- Develops and manages the Division training/development budget to support pipeline and strategic needs.
- Identifies talent gaps for consideration in future program development (collaboration with Talent Development).
Reward & Retention
- Ensures consistent execution of pay guidelines and plans.
- Drives intentional investment in the talent pipeline to retain and reacquire top talent.
Mentoring:
- Leads, coaches, and develops the Regional Talent Leaders through a dotted-line reporting structure.
What is your background?
- Bachelor's degree in HR, business, or related field, or comparable experience
- 10+ years of experience aligning Talent processes with business needs
