Job Title: Division Lead

You are the person who can walk into a room with scientists, engineers, acquisition professionals, service members, aviators, program managers, and senior government leaders and understand why every one of them sees the problem differently. More importantly, you can bring them together.

You understand that Human Systems Integration is not simply about measurements, engineering, or operations. It is about how people interact with complex systems. You can move comfortably between anthropometry, aviation operations, engineering, Human Systems Integration, program management, technical evaluation, acquisition, and customer requirements.

You know how to lead highly technical people without needing to be the deepest specialist in every discipline. You know when to ask the scientist for more evidence, when to challenge an engineering assumption, when operational experience changes the problem, and when the team simply needs a decision.

You also care about the finished product. If a technical report, recommendation, or executive briefing goes to the customer, you want to know that it is clear, accurate, useful, and defensible.

What You'll Do:

You will lead Infinity Labs' human systems research laboratory and provide executive, technical, and operational leadership across the organization.

• Lead scientists, engineers, investigators, operational subject matter experts, and supporting personnel.
• Establish laboratory strategy, priorities, technical standards, and long-term capability development.
• Serve as the primary contractor interface with Government technical and program leadership.
• Translate customer requirements into executable scientific and engineering objectives.
• Manage staffing, workload, technical resources, schedules, risk, and contract execution.
• Participate directly in aircraft, equipment and human-system evaluations when appropriate.
• Conduct or support anthropometric assessments and operational evaluations.
• Review evaluation methodologies, engineering approaches, statistical interpretations, technical conclusions, and recommendations.
• Serve as senior editor for major laboratory technical products.
• Approve final technical and engineering recommendations before customer delivery.
• Lead technical interchange meetings, customer reviews, milestone reviews, and executive briefings.
• Assess and manage technical, schedule, staffing, contractual, and programmatic risk.
• Develop future technical leaders and build a culture emphasizing scientific integrity, engineering excellence, collaboration, accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
• Support technical capture, proposal development, staffing strategies, labor estimates, and business growth.

The underlying workforce standard expects this role to maintain broad proficiency across aircraft accommodation, aviation operations, anthropometry, Human Systems Integration, Human Factors Engineering, Digital Human Modeling, body-size standards, engineering analysis, program management, risk management, government acquisition support, customer engagement, laboratory operations, technical writing, and technical editing.

Minimum Qualifications/What You'll Bring:

• 10+ years of progressively responsible experience supporting complex operational, technical, scientific, engineering, or program activities.
• Demonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary technical organizations or programs.
• Experience managing customer relationships and complex Department of War or comparable technical programs.
• Strong program and project management capability.
• Experience integrating scientific, engineering, operational, acquisition, and customer stakeholders.
• Excellent technical writing, editing, briefing, and executive communication skills.
• Experience with aviation, anthropometry, Human Systems Integration, human factors, engineering, government acquisition, or related aerospace activities.
• Ability to travel in support of evaluations, customer activities, and technical engagements.
• Ability to obtain and maintain the security eligibility required for assigned programs.

Nice to Haves:

• Department of the Air Force acquisition, operational, or research experience.
• Leadership experience within a multidisciplinary research, engineering, or technical laboratory.
• Experience developing or applying accommodation methodologies or body-size standards.
• Experience with anthropometric evaluations and human-equipment interfaces.
• Proposal development, capture, and business development experience.
• Demonstrated executive leadership within government, industry, or research organizations.

Education/Credentials:

• Master's degree in math, physics, engineering, or related STEM discipline
  • Nice to have - Doctorate in a relevant discipline
  • Nice to have - Project Management Professional Certification
• US Citizenship is required for consideration, as this job requires a US government security clearance.
  • Acceptable - Secret level clearance

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to remain in a stationary position and work on a computer for prolonged periods.
• Ability to travel up to 30%.
