Job Description

Department of Cardiovascular Medicine at Mayo Clinic in Arizona is seeking a Board-Certified Heart Failure and Heart Transplant Cardiologist to serve as Chair of the Division of Advanced Heart failure and Heart Transplant providing clinical and strategic leadership for a high-acuity, multidisciplinary advanced heart failure and transplant service.

Candidate will provide oversight of all clinical, strategic, quality, and growth initiatives related to heart transplantation and advanced cardiac replacement therapies. The role includes direct patient care, program leadership, team development, and enterprise collaboration. The role will also include active engagement in teaching medical students, residents, and cardiology and cardiology subspecialty fellows.

Scholarly and research activities are expected and well-supported through the Department's extensive academic infrastructure. An academic ranking consisting of Associate Professor or higher is preferred. Exceptional communication and collaboration skills across disciplines and care teams are imperative to our practice.

Qualifications

Candidates must hold or be eligible for an Arizona medical license.

Candidates for this role are expected to have at least 5 years of progressive post-fellowship experience in heart transplantation and advanced heart failure, including involvement in programmatic leadership, quality, or growth initiatives.
