District Utility Engineer (Transportation Engineering Manager II) position. This position is

Nature of Work: This position supervises and administers engineering technicians, contractors, and consultants to ensure that SHA maintains thorough and proper inspection of all Utility Relocation work, Engineering Access Permits, and Utility Permits within engineering District 7. This work includes managing the unit's assignments. This position is also responsible for setting standards and coordinating work with other divisions as well as contractors and local municipalities on a variety of complex engineering projects and processes in highway construction, hydraulics, bridge, traffic, and facility design and construction for electric, water and sewer, gas, communications, and fiber optic systems.

: MDOT Benefits GuideQualifications Education: Possession of a bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited college or university.
Experience: Eight (8) years experience in professional engineering, including one (1) year of supervisory or consultant management experience.
Selective Qualification: Four (4) years of the required experience must have involved utility inspection, utility coordination, and/or project management.
