Job Description

Clean Harbors is seeking a District Sales Manager to lead sales growth and customer development for the East/West New England Technical Services (TS) group. This position is responsible for growing, expanding, and maintaining the required revenue base while leading and developing Account Managers' sales strategies for the TS organization within the assigned district.

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring Health and Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and always acting in a safe manner.
  • Drive district revenue, margin, and sales growth through strategic account management, market analysis, and channel/partner development.
  • Lead sales performance and P&L objectives, identifying opportunities for cross-selling, upselling, and business expansion.
  • Strengthening customer relationships by ensuring service excellence, resolving issues, and supporting contract and receivables management.
  • Recruit, coach, and retain high-performing sales teams while driving accountability, performance, and alignment with corporate values.
  • Partner with senior leadership to monitor district performance, develop growth initiatives, and achieve business objectives.


Qualifications

  • Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and ability to travel within designated territory.
  • 5-10 years of sales experience and proven leadership/management experience, including B2B and complex sales.
  • Proven ability to develop and grow a book of business through strategic selling, account management, relationship building, and identification of upsell and cross-sell opportunities (environmental service, waste-management contracts).
  • Strong industry and company knowledge with the ability to identify growth opportunities across multiple lines of business.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to simplify complex concepts and maintain strong attention to detail.
  • Skilled in strategic selling, analysis, project planning, and management.
  • RCRA and DOT regulatory knowledge/training highly preferred.
  • Experience and strong proficiency using salesforce.
