Thomas Cuisine is seeking a passionate and experienced District Manager to join our growing team in Texas, overseeing a portfolio of luxury senior living communities. This is a high-impact, leadership role ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and understands the expectations of high-touch clients. Your Role and Impact

As the District Manager, you will be responsible for leading and supporting a team of Food Service Directors and Executive Chefs across multiple senior living communities. Your mission is to ensure operational excellence, develop strong client relationships, drive financial performance, and foster a culture aligned with our values of REAL Food, Genuine Service, and Enduring Relationships.

Client Partnership and Relationship Management

As a District Manager, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining and strengthening the three-way partnership between Thomas Cuisine, our clients, and the teams you oversee. You will be expected to uphold and model Thomas Cuisine's high operational and culinary standards while also understanding and aligning with the specific goals, culture, and expectations of each client facility. This role requires exceptional relationship-building skills, proactive communication, and the ability to represent Thomas Cuisine with professionalism, flexibility, and responsiveness. Your success will be measured not only by operational outcomes, but also by your ability to foster trust and satisfaction across all stakeholders, ensuring that each account feels supported, valued, and successful.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of multiple senior living foodservice accounts across the Texas market.
  • Support and mentor on-site leaders to ensure operational consistency, staff development, and customer satisfaction.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as the primary point of contact for issue resolution, strategic planning, and partnership growth.
  • Ensure adherence to food safety, sanitation, and regulatory compliance across all sites.
  • Monitor and improve key performance indicators (KPIs) including labor management, food cost, inventory control, and waste reduction.
  • Align operations with Thomas Cuisine's REAL Food philosophy, ensuring scratch-made meals, fresh ingredients, and customized menu offerings.
  • Analyze financial performance, manage budgets, and partner with unit leaders to meet or exceed fiscal goals.
  • Recruit, train, and retain top culinary and management talent.
  • Lead site visits, inspections, and quarterly business reviews to ensure continuous improvement and alignment with client expectations.
  • Partner with internal teams (Executive, HR, Culinary, Procurement etc.) to support account success.

What You Will Need
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of multi-site foodservice leadership experience at a regional level, preferably in luxury senior living, Healthcare and upscale hospitality-focused environments.
  • Proven ability to manage complex operations and teams with high standards and expectations.
  • Strong background in financial management: budgeting, labor control, cost of goods, and P&L ownership.
  • Deep understanding of culinary operations, safety protocols, and scratch-cooking principles.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Strong strategic thinking with the ability to assess and improve performance.
  • Willingness to travel regularly within the assigned region (50-70% travel).
  • ServSafe Certification preferred.
