Job Description

The District Manager's primary focus will be to operate a profitable district through positive sales growth and operational guidance. This will include hiring, training, and development of the management team and store associates in driving core metrics, operations and merchandising. The District Manager will also help to strategize and execute Comoto's intended company growth for the Comoto family of brands' existing store fleet (J&P Cycles, Cycle Gear, Revzilla), including new store expansion within a predefined geographic area. A District Manager would be responsible for managing their district with the full authority and responsibility of operating all store locations at maximum efficiency through sales driving and overall store performance.

The District Manager will confer with the Regional Sales Director to discuss priorities and opportunities for advancement of associates and seek guidance in order to enhance the achievement of financial objectives and goals. Ensure the district and stores maintain tight control of monthly wages and overall store inventory. Additional responsibilities include, visiting each store location within the designated district monthly; making sure individual stores are fully stocked, cleaned and in proper working order, per Comoto's standards, as well as creating and maintaining budgets, and reporting to the Regional Sales Director, the National Vice President of Sales and Executive Team members.

Our Next District Manager Will:
  • Grow overall performance results of assigned stores; including Sales, Store Level EBITDA Contribution, Gross Margins and control Wages including Overtime.
  • Store sales and operations performance standards; Improve and maintain core metrics
  • Drive key store initiatives including RPM and Fastlane
  • Work with stores and store leadership on developing and implementing sales strategies
  • Develop bench strength and talent for all team members ensuring proper staffing of store teams
  • Provide excellent customer service in assigned stores.
  • Visit assigned stores regularly to identify strengths and weaknesses of store teams.
  • Establish and evaluate the Store Manager's job responsibilities and assess their effectiveness in managing their assigned store.
  • Proactively identify areas of opportunity in store sales and operations.
  • Maintain a high level of loss prevention, including sharp eye on inventory and team member interaction to eye potential LP issues.
  • Communicate with Store Support Center to facilitate information flow and drive results with field teams
  • Leading the stores in the District's community and driving grassroots activities.
  • Other assignments as required by the Executive Team, including working with other departments to help develop new sales and training initiatives.


Qualifications

Our Next District Manager Has:
  • 5 or more years retail management experience required
  • 2 or more years of multi-unit retail management experience preferred
  • Proven results-driven leadership in previous retail capacity
  • Analytical and technologically inclined to interpret operating statements and other financial reporting data, manage budgets, and control inventory
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Demonstrated ability to staff stores with effective and driven associates by conducting behavioral interviewing
  • Previous experience with coaching and empowering workforce; fully comprehend drivers to improve performance in Associates
  • Ability to work independently; position works remotely and involves constant travel including overnights
  • Ability to manage the functions listed in the Sales Associate, Merchandiser, Key Holder, Cashier (if applicable), Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager job descriptions
  • Maintain a valid driver's license and adequate transportation
  • Must be a solid team player with excellent interpersonal skills; strong communications skills.
  • Must be able to multi-task and have an attention to detail
  • Microsoft Office Suite Proficiency and/or Google Office Suite Proficiency
