Annual Salary Range:$ 95,849.58 - $124,040.63 Your Specific Responsibilities: Deliver managed services while being consistent, predictable and repeatable. Foster teamwork within and across work units. Assure the very best customer service possible. Supervises employees spending majority of their time communicating with, motivating, training, and evaluating employees, and planning and directing employees work. Secure resources necessary for employees to succeed. Ensure employees meet quality and quantity requirements of the position. Focus employees on the Department's mission and objectives outlined in the business plan. Evaluate project/process to determine current performance status. Make/recommend improvements to optimize delivery or improve results. Notify stakeholders of any changes to the project/process. Ensure project/process is consistent, predictable and repeatable. Support consultant contracts in accordance with applicable rules, laws and procedures. Review the consultant work effort. Review and comment on invoices. Perform engineering analysis of in-place conditions in the field. Perform warranty inspection and analysis in the field as required. Determine the cause(s) of the in-place conditions. Engineer solutions if necessary or requested by the customer. Sign and seal engineering report and recommendations as required. Perform engineering analysis required to determine the best approach to Department soil and foundation needs. Perform engineering analysis required to determine the appropriate foundation installation technique and parameters. Perform engineering analysis required to determine if the installed foundation meets the design requirements. Design foundations and other geotechnical solutions to support Department infrastructure. Sign and seal engineering reports, geotechnical designs and specification as required. Analyze materials data for contract and procedural compliance. Take timely action to correct any errors in the data. Actively facilitate the notification of stakeholders of errors, failures or negative trends. Provide materials related technical support to customers as requested. Provide support in time to meet the customer's needs. Provide guidance and training to customers. Review Quality Control plans, Construction plans, specifications, procedures and any other documents necessary to execute the Department's mission. Provide clear comments as requested in time to be useful to the customer. Offer solutions when objecting to the approach that is proposed. The Successful Candidate will have the following required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Knowledge of:- The Concepts, terminology, principles and analytical techniques of Geotechnical Engineering; engineering design, construction, production and/or operations.
Skills in:- Using engineering tools, equipment and/or instruments.
Ability to:- Operate a personal computer for word processing, spreadsheet and database applications.
- Analyze and interpret engineering data.
- Solve problems relating to engineering.
- Plan, design, evaluate and investigate engineering works and systems.
- Apply Engineering quantitative techniques.
- Monitor and inspect engineering projects.

Licensure/Registration/Certification Requirements: Registered as a Professional Engineer in accordance with Chapter 471 Florida Statutes
