Examination:Performance Exam (Weighted 100%): The performance exam will assess the applicant's ability to communicate effectively in writing. The exam will be administered on a computer using Word.
If the number of candidates applying for this recruitment does not merit a Performance Exam, an appraisal of application materials will be weighted 100%.
Applicants must attain at least a 70% score on each phase of the examination process.

Minimum Qualifications / Employment Standards:- Possession of a valid Basic P.O.S.T. Certificate
- Three (3) years of law enforcement experience in a City, County, State or Federal law enforcement agency. Qualifying federal law enforcement experience must include a federal law enforcement academy of 10 weeks or longer. Applicants must meet all requirements for peace officer status that are mandated by the California Government Code and Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) Regulations for the class of Investigator.
- Possession of a valid unrestricted California Driver's license.

This examination will establish an eligible list from which an immediate appointment will be made at the District Attorney's Office. Other permanent and temporary appointments will be made as needed. Successful candidates will remain on the eligible list for a period of twelve-months, unless specified otherwise by the Civil Service Commission.
Candidates are encouraged to indicate acceptable geographical locations in which they would accept employment on their application form. Candidates MUST be willing to travel to these locations (areas/district offices).
