Full Job Description
National Fuel is seeking an Engineer to join our Engineering Services team in support of our growing operations in the Dayton, Ohio area. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the integration of our Ohio operations as National Fuel welcomes the CenterPoint Energy Ohio assets into our organization. This position will begin remotely during the acquisition transition and will transition to primarily on-site support in the Dayton area following successful close of the transaction.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Evaluation and design of natural gas piping systems and related facilities, including hydraulic modeling engineering analyses, and system planning studies.
  • Provide technical engineering support to Field Operations and cross-functional corporate departments to ensure the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of natural gas facilities.
  • Provide material and equipment specifications for natural gas facility improvement projects.
  • Prepare bid packages, develop project cost estimates, and provide engineering support throughout construction and project execution.
  • Investigate, analyze, document, and resolve system reliability, delivery, and operational performance issues.
  • Support distribution system modernization, public improvement, and infrastructure replacement projects, including feasibility studies, engineering evaluations, project scoping, and design of natural gas facilities.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking skills, with a proven ability to manage competing priorities and effectively meet project deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong technical aptitude, and proficiency with engineering and business software applications.
  • Strong work ethic, initiative, accountability, and commitment to safety and operational excellence.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • EIT certification or Professional Engineer licensure
  • Experience with utility, pipeline, distribution, or infrastructure projects
  • Degree concentration in Mechanical, Civil, Petroleum and Natural Gas, or a related engineering discipline


COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

The base salary range for this position is $70,000 - 93,000.

This job posting contains a pay range, which represents the range of pay that National Fuel believes, in good faith, at the time of this posting that it might be willing to pay for the posted job. The specific base pay offered to a successful applicant will be based primarily on relevant professional experience. Other components that may be considered include: individual qualifications, licensures, industry specific experience, education and market demands for specialized skills. The pay range is subject to change at any time based on various internal and external factors. Exempt positions will also be eligible for an Annual Cash Bonus Plan.
