The
District Account Manager will be responsible for growing the robotic automation business in the Quebec region by directly selling applications in all areas to end users and through FANUC Canada Integration partners.
The ideal candidate takes full ownership of their territory, demonstrates strong initiative, and works autonomously to exceed sales targets. The District/Account Manager will need to have a background in robotic automation and be familiar with the region, with developed relationships and established contacts within the defined customer base.
Primary responsibilities will include:- Manage all activities within assigned territory accounts to meet or exceed established targets in units, revenue, gross profit, and market share.
- Develop and implement strategic selling plans for accounts; identify complex sales situations and manage and direct company resources to win the business.
- Manage FANUC Canada integrator (ASI) network throughout assigned territory and expand this network to increase sales to end users.
- Develop good relationships with key personnel at all levels of plant, engineering and management within accounts and establish FANUC Canada as a sustaining resource.
- Develop quotations by providing complete scope of work from customers; provide pricing direction, and review quotation prior to submittal; review proposals with customers for a clear and thorough understanding of the FANUC Canada content and competitive advantages and negotiate to a successful sale maximizing profitability.
- Interface with FANUC resources and customer on sold Sales Orders to assure complete understanding of deliverables.
- Participate in kickoff and status meetings to ensure smooth order execution and complete customer satisfaction.
- Solicit input and feedback from customers on product operation and new requirements to provide direction on product improvements and new products to increase FANUC Canada's competitive advantages and market share.
- Manage and track all sales activities within CRM system including forecasting accuracy and pipeline management.
- Manage company assets through support in the collection of overdue payments.
- Travel to customer sites, tradeshows, and other events within and outside of assigned territory.
- Act as main interface for customers to assist with issues such as robot delivery information, spare parts, quotes, delivery, service issues, product problems, among others.
- Apply consultative, value-based selling methodologies focused on customer ROI, productivity, and automation strategy.
- Distribute product sales and technical information to customers and develop solid relationships within these firms; review robot applications for conformance to product specifications and capabilities.
- Organize, schedule, and prepare product presentations/demonstrations for customers with support from engineering and/or marketing as required.
- Leverage data dashboards, KPIs and work with AI-enabled tools to manage territory performance and drive accountability.
Ideal candidate will have the following experience and education:- Bachelor's degree in engineering, business administration or related field; or equivalent relevant experience is preferred.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in technical sales, preferably in robotics, automation, or capital equipment.
- Technical competency in automation applications from actual experience or formal education.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex sales cycles and multiple accounts.
- Established customer relationships within the Quebec region are preferred.
- Bilingual French and English required.
