Full Job Description
Your Role:

We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Field-Based Account Manager to join our sales team. The Account Manager will be responsible for managing and growing relationships with customers within a designated territory. This role involves frequent travel to client sites, understanding customer needs, and delivering tailored solutions to meet business goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships through regular face-to-face interactions.
  • Understand customer business objectives and challenges to identify opportunities to add value.
  • Achieve sales targets and objectives by developing and executing strategic account plans.
  • Coordinate with internal teams (marketing, product, customer service) to ensure timely and successful delivery of solutions.
  • Conduct in-person product presentations, demonstrations, and business reviews.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to inform sales strategies.
  • Negotiate contracts and close agreements to maximize profits while maintaining customer satisfaction.
  • Provide accurate sales forecasting and reporting to management.
  • Proactively address and resolve client issues or concerns to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings as required.


Location: Boston Metro and surrounding area

Travel: 50% travel within the assigned territory of Boston Metro and surrounding area

Who You Are

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 3+ years of experience in account management or sales within life science and or BioPharma industry


Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in field-based account management or sales.
  • Familiarity with MilliporeSigma 's Discovery Solutions portfolio of products
  • Ability to analyze market trends and customer data to shape strategic sales approaches.
  • Advanced knowledge of sales methodologies and customer relationship building.
  • Self-motivated with strong organizational and time management skills, capable of working independently and collaboratively.
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Ability and willingness to travel frequently within assigned territory.
  • Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems and sales analytics tools.


Base Pay Range for this position $71,600-$125,300 per year

The offer range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base pay compensation for this position. The actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level of experience, education, skills, and other job-related factors. Position may be eligible for sales or performance-based bonuses. Benefits offered by the Company include health insurance, paid time off (PTO), retirement contributions, and other perquisites.
