Full Job Description
A dynamic, growth-driven company in Columbus, Ohio is seeking a bold and experienced Distribution Manager. In this role, you'll be instrumental in steering operations, optimizing inventory processes, driving key performance metrics, and helping our company achieve its next phase of expansion-all under the radar, with full anonymity.

What You'll Do

  • Oversee distribution and operations functions at both our main distribution center in Columbus and our satellite branches.
  • Develop, document, and implement SOPs for receiving, picking, shipping, packaging, kitting, and reverse logistics.
  • Conduct training needs assessments and foster continuous employee development to minimize turnover and elevate operations performance.
  • Design and monitor key performance indicators for productivity, cost, accuracy, and service quality.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and customers to streamline logistics operations and identify efficiencies.
  • Lead the integration of relevant technologies-barcode systems, ERP, WMS, and related tools.
  • Execute continuous improvement initiatives using LEAN and/or Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Develop and execute an annual operating plan focused on financial and operational goals.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits including cycle counts and full physical inventories to maintain inventory integrity.
  • Generate daily, weekly, and monthly performance reports for executive review and strategic planning.
  • Occasionally travel (~20%) to support branch operations and foster alignment.
