Responsibilities
Howmet Fastening Systems is seeking a Distribution Divisional Controller to provide financial leadership, controllership, and strategic business support for the division and headquarters organization. This role is responsible for ensuring the integrity of financial reporting, maintaining strong internal controls, overseeing planning and forecasting activities, and providing financial insight to support business decisions. The role will partner closely with division leadership, Corporate Finance, functional leaders, and site finance teams to drive financial performance, compliance, consistency, and continuous improvement across the organization.
Responsibilities
* Lead division controllership activities and ensure accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting.
* Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities for the division and headquarters organization.
* Review consolidated financial results, including income statement, balance sheet, cash flow, reserves, and key financial metrics.
* Provide oversight and guidance to site Controllers and finance teams on accounting, reporting, and financial control matters.
* Serve as Controller for the headquarters organization, including oversight of operating expenses, functional budgets, accruals, headcount, and cost centers.
* Lead and support annual planning, forecasting, and long-range planning activities.
* Analyze financial performance, identify trends, risks, and opportunities, and provide actionable insights to senior leadership.
* Partner with business and functional leaders on capital investments, productivity initiatives, restructuring activities, and other strategic priorities.
* Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, SOX requirements, Howmet policies, and internal control standards.
* Lead and support internal and external audit activities and ensure timely resolution of identified issues.
* Provide oversight of working capital, including inventory, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and cash performance.
* Drive standardization, automation, and continuous improvement of finance processes, systems, and reporting.
* Lead, coach, and develop finance professionals and support talent development across the broader division finance organization.
* Serve as a trusted financial advisor to the BU President and senior leadership team.
* Create, structure and drive strategy with the divisional lead team.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
* 10+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience, including significant experience in controllership, financial reporting, planning, or operational finance.
* 5+ years of leadership experience within a complex, multi-site organization.
* Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SOX, internal controls, and financial reporting requirements.
* Demonstrated experience with budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and business performance management.
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and business partnership skills.
* Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with and influence senior leaders.
* Experience working in a manufacturing, aerospace, industrial, or similarly complex environment preferred.
* CPA, CMA, MBA, or other relevant professional certification preferred.
* Experience with Oracle or other large ERP systems and financial reporting tools preferred.
Compensation: 200k - 245k
