Full Job Description
We currently have an exciting opportunity as a Distribution Centre Manager. This role is based in our Edmonton, Alberta facility and reports to the Regional Distribution Center Manager.

Job Summary

As a Distribution Centre Manager, you will lead one of IPEX's largest distribution operations in Canada, overseeing a major warehouse and pipe yard operation that plays a critical role in supporting customers across the region. You will have the opportunity to influence operational performance, inventory accuracy, safety, and service excellence while leading a team committed to continuous improvement and collaboration.

This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who enjoys building strong teams, optimizing operations, and creating meaningful business impact.

Principal Responsibilities
  • Lead the overall performance of the Edmonton distribution operation, ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable movement of products while delivering an exceptional customer experience.
  • Develop and inspire a team of supervisors and employees by fostering a collaborative, engaged, and high-performing culture that supports both individual and operational success.
  • Drive operational excellence by establishing clear performance objectives, monitoring key metrics, and implementing improvements that enhance productivity, service levels, and quality outcomes.
  • Optimize inventory accuracy and warehouse performance through effective inventory controls, analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives that support business and customer needs.
  • Champion health and safety programs and regulatory compliance, creating an environment where employees can perform their best while maintaining the highest safety standards.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams across transportation, production, procurement, deployment, and customer service to ensure seamless execution, operational alignment, and achievement of business objectives.


Qualifications & Experience
  • Completion of a college diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of leadership experience within distribution, warehouse, logistics, supply chain, or related operations environments.
  • Experience working in a unionized environment is considered an asset.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Experience with inventory management, KPI reporting, budgeting, and operational analysis.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with employees, leaders, and stakeholders across all levels of the organization.
  • Strong leadership, communication, organizational, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in an RF environment and SAP is considered an asset.
  • Successful completion of a C-TPAT background check is required.
