This position works out of our Tipp City, OH location in the Abbott Nutrition division. Our Nutrition business develops science-based nutrition products for people of all ages, from helping babies and children grow to keeping adult bodies strong and active. WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • The Logistics department is responsible for palletizing, receiving, and shipping finished goods to our customers and Abbott Distribution Centers.
  • The department's objective is to ship exact quantities of products in the correct configuration to customers all over the world so that these goods arrive undamaged and on time.
  • Responsible for coordinating the many activities necessary to accomplish Abbott operational objectives. These objectives include effective utilization of manpower, storage space, and equipment resources; proper administration of control policies, providing effective quality support service, maintaining accurate receipt of all materials, and providing timely and accurate distribution of finished products.
  • Responsible for managing the logistics functions on multiple shifts, including the direct supervision of up to 20-45 direct reports.
  • Responsible for implementing and maintaining the effectiveness of the quality system, warehouse management system, and other applicable systems.
  • Deployment of Abbott finished products to Abbott customers and other distribution centers.
  • Provide support to all manufacturing centers in the Tipp City plant including but not limited to the (PediaSure®, Ensure®, & Glucerna®)
  • Monitor and regulate the operations of both the onsite and offsite distribution centers.
  • Ensure that all inbound finished product loads are received in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Develop and implement department procedures to comply with all Abbott, FDA, OSHA, and any other governing body, guidelines.
  • Effectively utilize the resources of exempt and non-exempt office employees, including crew leaders.
  • Develop an atmosphere that encourages the open exchange of ideas and knowledge with a focus on continuous improvement and root cause analysis.
  • Effectively utilize all capital resources.
  • Provide customer service to both internal and external customers through accurate order processing, customized packaging, and timely delivery and receipt of finished products and services.
  • Speed allocations and deployment decisions through implementation and effective utilization of technology support systems.
  • Create, promote, and maintain a safe work environment.


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU'LL BRING

  • A BS degree is preferred and at least 2 years of relevant experience.

The base pay for this position is
$61,300.00 - $122,700.00
