Join our team of dedicated healthcare professionals at Haywood Wound Healing & Hyperbaric Center, where we are committed to providing compassionate, personalized, and high-quality wound care in a welcoming environment. Our team of providers, nurses, and technicians has advanced training in wound care management, working with patients of all ages to accurately identify the cause of their wounds and develop tailored treatment strategies focused on achieving positive healing outcomes.

 

How you’ll contribute  

As the Director of Wound Care, you will excel by:

  • Leading clinical excellence in wound prevention, assessment, treatment, and evidence-based practice across the organization.
  • Driving measurable patient outcomes by reducing pressure injuries, wound complications, infections, and preventable readmissions.
  • Developing and implementing standardized wound care protocols that promote consistency, quality, safety, and evidence-based practice across all care settings.
  • Leading multidisciplinary collaboration among nursing, physicians, rehabilitation, nutrition, case management, and other clinical partners to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Building and developing high-performing teams through education, mentoring, competency development, and strong clinical leadership.
  • Leveraging quality data and performance metrics to identify trends, close care gaps, and lead continuous quality improvement initiatives.
  • Ensuring regulatory, accreditation, and clinical compliance through effective policies, documentation standards, education, auditing, and program oversight.
  • Advancing wound care strategy and operational performance through innovation, resource stewardship, patient-centered care, and strong partnership with hospital leadership.

  • Demonstrating strong clinical leadership with expertise in wound prevention, assessment, treatment, and evidence-based practice.
  • Driving measurable patient outcomes with a demonstrated commitment to reducing pressure injuries, wound complications, infections, and avoidable readmissions.
  • Leading multidisciplinary collaboration across nursing, physicians, rehabilitation, nutrition, case management, and other clinical services.
  • Building and developing high-performing teams through education, mentorship, competency development, and accountability.
  • Using data and quality metrics to drive improvement, identify care gaps, measure performance, and implement sustainable quality initiatives.
  • Establishing and standardizing best practices through effective protocols, policies, clinical education, auditing, and regulatory compliance.
  • Providing strategic and operational leadership by managing resources, championing innovation, and partnering with hospital leadership to advance the organization’s wound care program.
