The Director, Inglewood Cluster - Venue Operations & AVT – LA28 Olympic Games is an operational leader within On Location’s Olympic delivery organization. This role is responsible for orchestrating cross-functional hospitality operations at scale, ensuring that all functional disciplines, venue teams, and external stakeholders operate within a unified, executable Games-time strategy.
Serving as a central integrator, this leader will drive operational readiness across the Carson Sports park, all Long Beach Venues and the Anaheim Center Olympic sports venues, including but not limited to the health, safety, and security readiness and off-venue hospitality locations—ensuring seamless delivery for clients, partners, and stakeholders throughout the LA28 Olympic Games.
This role requires a seasoned, decisive operator with deep experience delivering complex, high-pressure, global events.
Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic & Operational Leadership
Lead the strategic planning, deployment, and execution of the Advance Venue Team for, but not limited to the competition venues in the Carson Sports park, all Long Beach Venues and the Anaheim Center for the LA28 Olympic Games.
Drive the development and implementation of integrated operational plans, aligning venue operations, hospitality delivery and transportation requirements.
Serve as a central point of coordination to ensure all last mile functions are aligned, prepared, and execution-ready for Games-time conditions.
Venue & Stakeholder Integration
Build and maintain strong operational partnerships with LA28 functional teams, enabling effective collaboration across venue operations and security.
Work closely with Platinum Groups, Packages, Services, Stakeholder and all front of house functional leads to align venue related requirements for all hospitality products.
Health, Safety & Security Leadership
- Provide operational leadership for the health, safety, and well-being of all On Location staff, guests, and partners across venues and off-venue hospitality locations.
- Work in close coordination with On Location’s Security and Risk Management teams, LA28 Security, and venue stakeholders to support the development and execution of comprehensive security protocols.
- Support on-site security planning, including access control, credentialing coordination, emergency response procedures, and incident escalation frameworks.
- Ensure health and safety standards, training materials, and operating procedures are integrated into workforce onboarding and Games-time operations.
- Partner with Security and Workforce teams to support on-site training and preparedness, including tabletop exercises, briefings, and venue walk-throughs.
Off-Venue & Ancillary Operations
Support planning and execution of off-venue hospitality locations that complement On Location’s in-venue hospitality (IVH) strategy.
Ensure off-venue sites are operationally integrated with venue operations, transport flows, staffing, and guest experience standards.
QualificationsRequired
Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in large-scale event operations or hospitality management, preferably within:
Demonstrated success delivering high-touch, high-complexity hospitality programs under intense operational pressure.
Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and operational reporting tools.
Exceptional communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence senior executives, external partners, and large operational teams.
Right to live and work in the USA, specifically in the Los Angeles host city market
Ability to commit to a full time role
Preferred
Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field of study
Prior experience supporting Olympic Games or mega-scale international events.
Familiarity with Olympic operational structures, venue operations, and accreditation frameworks.
Strong knowledge of the Los Angeles sports, entertainment, and hospitality landscape.
Existing relationships with LA-based vendors, venues, and workforce partners strongly preferred.

Per local requirements and in the interest of transparency, the hourly rate shown below reflects the prevalent current hiring range for this position. Hiring pay rates are based on a number of factors, including location and may vary depending on job-related qualifications, knowledge, skills and experience. Hiring Rate Minimum:
$105,000 annually(minimum will not fall below the applicable State/local minimum salary thresholds)
Hiring Rate Maximum:
$140,000 annually
