Full Job Description
Role Purpose:

The Director will provide valuation support and related process coordination oversight to the BREDS Finance and Reporting Team, which provides financial planning, reporting, and analysis on behalf of the BREDS investment vehicles.

What you will do:
  • Support the monthly and quarterly valuation process and materials. Calculate mark-to-market estimates and projected fund returns pursuant to Blackstone policies for real estate debt and other credit instruments
  • Aid in the execution of the valuation control framework, including communication with auditors and third-party providers, and managing independent valuation verification according to Blackstone policies and procedures
  • Assist in the maintenance of models supporting investment level return expectations to facilitate long-term financial projections for investors, senior management deliverables, and Blackstone Corporate reporting
  • Aid in the preparation of periodic analytics and scenario analysis (e.g., impacts of loan maturities and capital markets activity) to add strategic insight into business performance and future results
  • Facilitate the preparation of monthly and quarterly Valuation Committee materials for Blackstone's review cycles
  • Partner with cross-functional teams (operations, asset management, portfolio management, compliance, legal, IT) in executing on valuations and financial projections processes


What you should have:
  • Undergraduate degree in Business Administration, Finance or Accounting
  • 8-10 years of experience
  • Experience with valuation, forecasting, or project management required
  • Strong Excel skills required; experience with valuation or forecasting required
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in the financial services and/or real estate industries is preferred
