Job Title: Director- US Marketing

Brand: NYX Professional Makeup

Location: El Segundo, CA (L'Oreal West Corporate Office)

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Vision & Category Leadership
  • Lead the strategic planning, development, and execution of marketing roadmaps for assigned product categories within the NYX US portfolio.
  • Drive portfolio growth and market share by identifying key consumer trends, white spaces, and commercial opportunities in the fast-paced indie/mass beauty landscape.
  • Own the US category launch calendar from conception to execution, ensuring alignment with global brand guardrails and local commercial objectives.

2. Product Innovation & Lifecycle Management
  • Oversee the end-to-end product lifecycle for assigned categories, from new product development (NPD) to discontinuation.
  • Collaborate closely with Global Product Development, Supply Chain, and Packaging teams to deliver high-impact, trend-setting product innovations tailored to the US consumer.
  • Manage COGS, forecasting accuracy, and inventory health in partnership with Demand Planning and Commercial teams.

3. 3606 Campaigns & Digital-First Marketing
  • Spearhead integrated 360-degree marketing campaigns with a strong digital, social-first, and influencer-led approach native to the NYX brand DNA.
  • Partner with Integrated Marketing, PR, and Advocacy teams to maximize earned and paid media impact across platforms like TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube.
  • Drive disruptive retail marketing and merchandising strategies across major US mass and specialty retail partners (e.g., Ulta Beauty, Target, CVS).

4. Data Analytics & Business Acumen
  • Monitor and analyze US market data (NPD, Nielsen, social listening) to track campaign performance, retail sell-out, and competitor activity.
  • Translate data insights into actionable strategies to optimize marketing spend, media mix, and promotional calendars.

5. People Management & Leadership
  • Provides mentorship for other team members, fostering a culture of creativity, agility, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Act as a key liaison between the US local team, global brand teams, and US commercial sales leads.

Qualifications & Requirements
  • Experience: 8-10+ years of progressive brand marketing experience within beauty, cosmetics, or fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG). Experience in makeup/color cosmetics is strongly preferred.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in marketing, Business, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
  • Skills & Competencies:
    • Deep understanding of the US beauty consumer, digital culture, and social media trends.
    • Proven track record of managing product categories and launching successful 3606 marketing campaigns.
    • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in retail data (NPD) and P&L management.

Salary Range: 128-180k base + Bonus
