Role Overview

The Director, User Interface (UI) and User Experience (UX) Designer plays a critical role in shaping the experiences that power Coca-Cola's next generation of digital products. Reporting to the Senior Director, Product Design, within the Digital Product & Engineering organization, this role is responsible for leading the design of intuitive, user-centered, and visually compelling digital experiences that drive adoption, productivity, and business value across a portfolio of prioritized digital enterprise products.

Working closely with Product Managers, Product Owners, Engineers and business stakeholders, this leader transforms complex business and technical requirements into simple, elegant, and effective user experiences. The Director will champion user-centered design practices, leverage research and analytics to inform design decisions, and ensure the prioritized digital products deliver experiences that are consistent, accessible, scalable, and aligned with Coca-Cola's design principles and digital transformation goals.

This role combines strong design craft, strategic thinking, and collaborative leadership. Success requires deep expertise across user experience and interface design, a passion for understanding user needs, and the ability to influence product direction through design excellence and evidence-based decision making.

What You will do for us

  • Lead the end-to-end design of digital experiences across a portfolio of enterprise products, from discovery through delivery and continuous improvement.


  • Partner with Product Managers, Product Owners, and Engineering teams within Global Digital Network to translate business objectives and user needs into intuitive and impactful product experiences.


  • Create user journeys, workflows, information architectures, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs that support business outcomes and user success.


  • Champion user-centered design methodologies and ensure user insights are embedded throughout the product development lifecycle.


  • Conduct and synthesize user research, usability testing, customer feedback, and behavioral analytics to inform design decisions.


  • Design experiences that simplify complex workflows, data-rich environments, and AI-enabled capabilities into trusted and accessible user interactions.


  • Contribute to the evolution and adoption of Coca-Cola's design system, visual standards, interaction patterns, and accessibility guidelines.


  • Ensure design consistency across products while balancing business needs, user expectations, and technical feasibility.


  • Collaborate closely with engineering teams to ensure design intent is effectively implemented and maintained throughout development.


  • Facilitate design workshops, discovery sessions, reviews, and critiques that improve product quality and stakeholder alignment.


  • Advocate for accessibility, inclusivity, and usability best practices across all digital experiences.


  • Leverage data, experimentation, and performance metrics to continuously optimize user experiences and product adoption.


  • Mentor and coach designers, helping elevate design capabilities, quality standards, and user-centered thinking across teams.


  • Partner with Product Design leadership to scale design practices, improve ways of working, and strengthen design maturity across the organization.


  • Stay current on emerging design trends, technologies, artificial intelligence capabilities, and best practices to drive innovation and continuous improvement.


Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Human Factors, Psychology, Graphic Design, Digital Design, Computer Science, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.


  • 8+ years of experience in user experience design, product design, interaction design, or related disciplines.


  • Proven experience designing complex digital products, enterprise applications, platforms, or data-rich experiences.


  • Strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end design thinking, user-centered problem solving, and measurable business impact.


  • Expertise in user experience design, interaction design, information architecture, visual design, and usability principles.


  • Experience conducting and applying user research, usability testing, user interviews, and behavioral insights to product design decisions.


  • Proficiency with modern design and prototyping tools such as Figma and related design collaboration platforms.


  • Strong understanding of accessibility standards, inclusive design principles, and responsive design practices.


  • Experience working within agile product development environments and collaborating closely with Product Management and Engineering teams.


  • Demonstrated ability to design experiences for data-intensive, analytics-driven, or AI-enabled products.


  • Strong communication, storytelling, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence decisions through design rationale and evidence.


  • Experience contributing to design systems, component libraries, and scalable design frameworks.


  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to use qualitative and quantitative insights to improve user experiences.


  • Digital fluency and AI fluency, including understanding how artificial intelligence can enhance user experiences while maintaining transparency and trust.


  • Experience working effectively in matrixed global organizations and collaborating with diverse stakeholder groups.
