Full Job Description
The Director, Trauma Program is responsible for the clinical and operational oversight of departments within the Trauma Clinical Programs include: registry, quality improvement initiatives, staffing and competency oversight for administrative employees, coordination of a comprehensive Trauma program. Plans, directs, coordinates and serves as the clinical liaison for the activities, projects and programs of Trauma Operations. Works closely with the DON and CNE as well as the Medical Director regarding patient services, including the delivery of services. Coordinates with the Department of Nursing, Patient Experience, and operations departments to ensure optimal patient experience(s). Collaborates with medical staff leaders and appropriate departments to implement best practice clinical pathways that ensure a high reliability environment for patient care and quality outcomes. Responsible for all activities of the Trauma Program including: liaison between Trauma Program and clinical departments and staff; education resources and instructor in trauma care and trauma related topics for medical, nursing, allied health, para-professional and pre-hospital personnel; coordinates outreach activities related to the Trauma Program.
