Location: Philadelphia or Denver, US (Hybrid)

Position Summary:

Bentley is seeking a marketing leader to define and drive the market narrative for our core technology platforms, including digital twins, AI, connected data, and platform capabilities.

Reporting to the VP of Product & Industry Marketing, this role shapes how Bentley's technology strategy is understood internally and differentiated externally. You will partner with executive leadership to develop long-term technology narratives, guide thought leadership, and ensure consistent positioning across products, industries, and go-to-market programs.

As a player-coach, you will lead, coach, and develop a team of solution marketers while remaining accountable for one or more strategic technology solution areas. Success in this role requires executive presence, exceptional storytelling, technical curiosity, and the ability to influence across a global, matrixed organization.

Responsibilities:

Narrative & Executive Partnership
  • Act as a trusted thought partner with executive leadership to shape Bentley's long-term technology positioning and strategic direction.
  • Serve as the primary marketing advisor for Bentley's horizontal technology portfolio.
  • Translate technology strategy into differentiated market positioning and strategic messaging.

Messaging, Positioning & Thought Leadership
  • Define messaging frameworks for Bentley's core technology platforms.
  • Ensure consistent positioning across industries, products, and go-to-market initiatives.
  • Develop differentiated value propositions grounded in customer outcomes.
  • Drive Bentley's technology thought leadership by identifying emerging trends and partnering with executives on key industry narratives.
  • Engage analysts, customers, and industry influencers to validate and strengthen Bentley's market positioning.

Team Leadership
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of solution marketers.
  • Personally lead strategic technology solution initiatives while remaining hands-on in messaging and positioning.
  • Align team priorities with business objectives and evolving market opportunities.

Go-to-Market Alignment
  • Partner with Product Marketing, Industry Marketing, Campaigns, Sales, and Corporate Marketing to activate technology messaging globally.
  • Establish scalable frameworks, standards, and processes for consistent execution across the organization.

Market Insight & Technology Fluency
  • Maintain deep expertise in AI, digital twins, connected data, cloud platforms, and emerging enterprise technology trends.
  • Synthesize analyst, customer, competitive, and market insights into forward-looking positioning and strategic recommendations.


Qualifications:
  • 15+ years of experience in B2B enterprise technology marketing, including leadership in platform, AI, cloud, data, or digital transformation solutions.
  • Demonstrated success influencing executive leaders and shaping company-wide technology strategy and messaging.
  • Proven ability to lead through influence across a complex global matrix organization.
  • Exceptional messaging and positioning capabilities, with evidence of simplifying complex technologies.
  • Experience building and leading high-performing marketing teams.
  • Strong cross-functional leadership across product, sales, and go-to-market teams.
  • Technical fluency and intellectual curiosity in relevant technology domains.
  • Bachelor's degree required or equivalent training or experience.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in infrastructure, AEC, or engineering software markets.
  • Experience marketing horizontal technologies across multiple industries.
