About the position:
The Director, Technology Delivery and Portfolio Management, is responsible for overseeing the organization’s technology portfolio and ensuring that strategic, regulatory, risk and business initiatives are prioritized, governed and delivered effectively.
About the department:
This role provides the CIO and Technology Leadership Team with clear visibility of delivery performance, financials, resources, risks, dependencies and outcomes. It also establishes consistent delivery standards and promotes accountability, transparency and effective decision-making across the technology function.
Responsibilities:
- Own and maintain the consolidated technology portfolio and delivery roadmap.
- Lead the intake, assessment, prioritization and governance of technology initiatives.
- Oversee the delivery of major programs, projects and regulatory commitments.
- Monitor scope, schedule, budget, resources, risks, issues and dependencies.
- Develop executive dashboards and management reporting for the CIO and governance committees.
- Partner with Finance on technology budgeting, forecasting and investment tracking.
- Coordinate resource and capacity planning across technology teams.
- Establish and maintain delivery methodologies, standards, controls and stage-gate requirements.
- Lead portfolio and delivery-governance forums and ensure clear decisions and accountability.
- Provide early escalation of material delivery, financial, resource or control concerns.
- Support regulatory examinations, audits and risk-remediation programs.
- Build and lead a high-performing portfolio, program and project-management team.
- Drive continuous improvement in delivery quality, predictability and transparency.
Qualifications and Competencies:
- Significant leadership experience in technology delivery, portfolio management, program management or technology transformation.
- Proven experience managing a complex portfolio of technology initiatives.
- Experience within banking, financial services or another regulated industry is strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of portfolio governance, delivery assurance, financial management and resource planning.
- Experience in presenting delivery and investment information to senior executives and governance committees.
- Strong understanding of Agile, waterfall and hybrid delivery approaches.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex risks, dependencies and competing priorities.
- Bachelor’s degree in technology, business or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- PMP, PgMP, PfMP, PRINCE2, Agile or similar certification is desirable.

Salary Range: $195,000-240,000
The salary range listed reflects base salary only. This role is eligible for participation in a discretionary bonus program.
