Reporting to and working closely with the Vice President-System Finance - Operations and Central Region, this position is responsible for providing timely, accurate financial reporting and operational finance support for assigned service lines. As an important member of the service line leadership teams, this position supports budget development, operational initiatives, policy review, and financial activity oversight to ensure alignment with Aspirus Health's mission, regulatory requirements, and organizational goals. The incumbent uses independent judgment, discretion, and a broad understanding of health care finance, reimbursement, compliance, and operations to collaborate with administrative, clinical, and non-clinical leaders; assess financial and operational performance; identify opportunities for improvement; and support cost-effective, efficient business practices.
Experience/Qualifications- Knowledge of accounting standards and practices normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor's Degree in accounting, finance or related area.
- A Master's Degree in accounting, finance or related area preferred.
- CPA certification or FHFMA certification beneficial.
- Minimum of five years of health care financial management experience, preferably in a health care setting.
- Strong understanding of accounting standards, accounting practice and financial data analysis.
- Annual competencies as required by Aspirus and/or various regulatory agencies based on entity and/or job position.
