Position Summary

Build and lead a scalable, end-to-end Supply Chain capability that improves service, strengthens execution, and supports long-term business growth.

The Director, Supply Chain is responsible for leading end-to-end Supply Chain strategy, execution, and continuous improvement across assigned business areas, sites, product lines, or networks. This role will design and optimize planning, procurement, inventory, material flow, warehousing, and logistics capabilities to support business objectives, Customer expectations, operational performance, and sustainable growth.

This leader will serve as a key point of accountability for Supply Chain performance and transformation translating business needs into executable processes, systems, organizational capabilities, and performance improvements. The role requires strong cross-functional leadership, the ability to connect strategy to execution, and the discipline to drive scalable solutions across a complex operating environment.

Hybrid Mentor, Ohio based. Up to 25% travel.

What You'll do as a Director Supply Chain

Lead End-to-End Supply Chain Strategy and Execution
  • Define and continuously improve the end-to-end Supply Chain operating model across Plan 12 Source 12 Make 12 Deliver.
  • Translate business, Customer, and operational requirements into clear Supply Chain strategies, processes, and priorities.
  • Develop inventory, service, and material flow strategies aligned to cost, service, compliance, and growth objectives.
  • Identify opportunities to improve Supply Chain performance, simplify processes, and increase scalability across the business.

Enable Process, Systems, and Digital Capability
  • Lead the design and adoption of core Supply Chain processes, tools, and systems, including ERP, planning tools, warehouse systems, supplier integration, and analytics.
  • Partner with business systems, operations, procurement, planning, and distribution teams to ensure systems and processes support effective execution.
  • Define master data, governance, and process standards needed to support reliable planning, procurement, inventory, and fulfillment performance.
  • Drive standardization where it improves efficiency, visibility, and decision-making while ensuring solutions remain practical for the business.

Drive Cross-Functional Integration
  • Partner closely across Supply Chain, Operations, Sourcing, Procurement, Planning, Logistics, Distribution, Quality, Finance, Commercial, and Business Systems teams.
  • Lead cross-functional alignment on priorities, tradeoffs, risks, and execution plans.
  • Support supplier readiness, material availability, production alignment, distribution performance, and Customer service outcomes.
  • Build strong operating rhythms that improve visibility, accountability, and timely issue resolution across functions.

Improve Performance and Manage Risk
  • Establish and manage key Supply Chain performance metrics, including service, OTD, inventory, cost, supplier performance, planning accuracy, and operational readiness.
  • Identify and mitigate risks related to suppliers, inventory, capacity, systems, material flow, and execution.
  • Lead problem-solving and countermeasure development for Supply Chain performance gaps.
  • Drive continuous improvement to strengthen service performance, cost competitiveness, process discipline, and operational resilience.

Build, Lead, and Develop the Team
  • Define the organizational capabilities needed to support current execution and future business needs.
  • Lead, coach, and develop Supply Chain leaders and team members.
  • Establish clear roles, responsibilities, expectations, and accountability across the team.Build talent depth and leadership capability to support long-term Supply Chain growth and succession planning.


The Experience, Skills, and Abilities Needed

Required:
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience working in supply chain, including 5 years of management experience
  • Strong project management skills
  • Proven experience in identifying, establishing, and cultivating long-term, supply chain relationships


Preferred:
  • Education in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations, Engineering, Business, or a related field, with equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in an international manufacturing environment in a technical field is a plus
  • Experience overseeing facility lifecycle transitions, including greenfield start-ups and site decommissioning


Other:
  • Very strong management skills and leadership capabilities
  • Demonstrated knowledge/experience in advanced operational practices (i.e., Lean, Six Sigma)
  • Knowledge/experience in MRP Set up and Lean Manufacturing environments
  • Ability to travel 25% annually

Pay range for this opportunity is $144,500.00 - $187,000.00. This position is eligible for bonus participation.

Minimum pay rates offered will comply with county/city minimums, if higher than range listed. Pay rates are based on a number of factors, including but not limited to local labor market costs, years of relevant experience, education, professional certifications, foreign language fluency, etc.
