Minimum qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 15 years of experience in data-driven roles (Data, Product Management, Engineering, or Operations).
  • 10 years of experience managing organizational change with a focus on data-driven decisions.
  • 10 years of experience leading operational initiatives and business planning within a data organization.

Preferred qualifications:
  • MBA degree.
  • 8 years of experience in people management.
  • Experience in global leadership, including international stakeholder management and driving global alignment on Data Cloud strategies.
  • Experience in stakeholder management, including building relationships, influencing, and collaborating with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Deep understanding of data products and technologies.
  • Ability to translate technical concepts into business implications and articulate the impact of technical decisions on product strategy.


About the job

This role leads the Data Cloud's central Strategy and Operations team, leading the Business Operations, Strategic Planning, and Cross-Functional Partnership teams that enable clarity, alignment, effectiveness, and efficiency across Data Cloud. As the leader of the StratOps team, you will be a critical thought partner to the Data Cloud leadership team to build our long-term roadmap and strategy in close collaboration with key stakeholders. You will partner with Data Cloud leadership to drive the business cadence (planning and business reviews), track, analyze and measure key strategic business priorities and decisions, and drive operational and transformational change management.

We need an experienced leader to lead teams working on complex, cross-cutting strategic and operational programs that are critical to Google and Data Cloud. This role provides a truly unique opportunity to learn about the broad portfolio of Data Cloud, interact with a wide spectrum of leaders across the organization and Google, influence senior stakeholders, and actualize the success of our most critical priorities. You will build frameworks to help inform and drive decisions around Data Cloud' strategy, OKRs, and priorities. They will be responsible for operationalizing critical processes, working closely with all Data Cloud pillars to deliver on our portfolio of products and solutions. Additionally, this role will work closely with the broader Strategy and Operations leadership team to ensure that our business strategy remains focused on accurately articulating our customer impact and driving operational effectiveness in the utilization of our resources.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

US: $262000 - $364000 (USD) 30% bonus target equity benefits

Responsibilities
  • Develop a strong and aligned strategic narrative across all parts of the Data Cloud portfolio, synthesizing key priorities and ensuring strategy and priority alignment across the organization.
  • Run a solid business cadence, driving regular business reviews with executive stakeholders, annual strategic planning, HC and budget management.
  • Influence, align, and build trust with stakeholders at multiple levels. Partner with VPs, Directors, and product and engineering leads to build and drive annual OKRs and the product/solutions portfolio.
  • Lead cross-Data Cloud, cross-Google efforts that require significant planning and coordination plus influence with product areas. Advocate for the right mix of immediate risk reduction and long-term opinionated solutions.
  • Partner with product teams to ensure we are scaling and executing on programs according to business objectives. Develop strategies with Data Cloud Leadership, accelerating our broader mission and efforts.
