  • Partner with Inventory Management to build business cases supporting inventory decisions
  • Coordinate with and support Capital Projects teams to ensure alignment between project bids and overall sourcing strategy
  • Facilitate cross-selling and cross-business-unit sourcing efforts
  • Drive measurable cost improvements while supporting service and availability goals
  • Monitor market conditions and supplier risks and adjust strategy accordingly

Job Information:

The Director, Strategic Sourcing - Sunbelt is responsible for leading sourcing strategy, manufacturer selection, and commercial negotiations across assigned product categories. This role partners closely with Sales leadership to support growth initiatives and works with Inventory Management to inform stocking and working capital decisions. The role directly manages Strategic Sourcing Specialists and serves as the primary commercial owner of sourcing outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead multi-line manufacturer selection, negotiation, and strategic sourcing decisions

Work Environment

This role operates in a professional office environment with flexibility for hybrid work. Standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and printers are used. Occasional visits to warehouses or operational sites may be required and 30% travel is required.

Physical Demands

This role may require standing, walking, sitting, and frequent use of hands and fingers. Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds may be required. This role may involve exposure to warehouse environments, moving mechanical parts, and moderate noise levels during site visits.
