About the Role
The Director, Solution Marketing is responsible for defining and leading the department strategy, performance, and results of Hyland's industry solutions marketing function. This role leads multiple industry-aligned solution marketing teams and senior individual contributors and is accountable for developing differentiated messaging, leading go-to-market strategy, and enabling revenue growth through cross-functional alignment.
This position oversees solution marketing across industries including healthcare, insurance, banking, higher education, and government. The Director ensures consistent and differentiated messaging across markets, aligns priorities with product and sales teams, and translates Hyland's capabilities into meaningful business value. This role reports to the SVP, Portfolio Marketing.
Your Role Responsibilities? Here's What You'll Do.
- Define and guide clear, differentiated messaging and positioning for Hyland's industry solutions in partnership with product management and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Lead go-to-market strategy, including segmentation, ideal customer profiles, and persona-based messaging.
- Plan and execute product and solution launches with cross-functional alignment across product, sales, and demand generation teams.
- Build, lead, and develop a high-performing team of solution marketers, fostering accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Identify industry trends, customer needs, and competitive insights to inform strategy and positioning.
- Partner with product, sales, demand generation, and customer success teams to drive pipeline growth and revenue outcomes.
Role Essentials
You'll need these skills to hit the ground running:
- 10+ years of experience in B2B product or solution marketing, including team leadership.
- Strong ability to translate product capabilities into clear, meaningful customer value with measurable business outcomes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a track record of delivering high-quality work under tight timelines.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively and lead through influence across a large, matrixed organization.
What We'd Like to See

- MBA or other advanced degree.
- Experience engaging with industry analysts and shaping market perception.
- Background in content management, process automation, collaboration, or related enterprise software markets.
- Demonstrated success building, coaching, and scaling high-performing marketing teams.
- Familiarity with modern marketing tools, technologies, and best practices.
