What You Can Expect:
  • Leading the Social Work Center of Excellence, including development and dissemination of standards, best practices, and system guidance
  • Serving as the system point of contact for inpatient behavioral health across hospitals
  • Providing administrative oversight and accountability of Psychiatric Consult Liaison services
  • Offering expert consultation to hospital, regional, and system leaders on social and behavioral health issues
  • Advancing acute care behavioral health initiatives focused on quality, safety, access, and care coordination
  • Supporting community outreach and partnerships that impact inpatient behavioral health care

Qualifications:
  • Education: Master's Degree
  • Experience: 8 years professional social work/behavioral health practice with 2 years in a supervisory, consultive or administrative capacity.
  • Licenses/Certifications: Must hold a License in the State of Practice in one of the following: Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) or Licensed Clinical Psychologist

The Director of Social / Behavioral Health provides system level leadership for social work and inpatient behavioral health services across a multihospital health system. This role leads the Social Work Center of Excellence and in partnership with the Acute Care Medical Director, serves as a key point of contact for inpatient behavioral health, including administrative alignment and support of Consult Liaison services.

Working in close partnership with clinical, operational, and executive leaders, the Director advances high quality, consistent, and evidence informed practice across hospitals. The role focuses on standardization where it adds value, supports quality and safety initiatives, and strengthens collaboration across service lines and community partners.

This position does not manage day-to-day hospital operations, and instead partners to support strategic direction, expert consultation, and system coordination to ensure social and behavioral health services effectively meet patient, staff, and community needs.
