JOB SUMMARY

As Digital Director at 1Milk2Sugars, you will lead a portfolio of integrated digital accounts while overseeing the successful execution of social media, content, influencer marketing, and paid media programs. As a senior member of the Digital team, you will provide leadership, mentorship, and strategic guidance to account managers, coordinators, and specialists, ensuring exceptional client service and campaign performance.

In this role, you will serve as a key client partner, driving strategy, fostering strong relationships, and identifying opportunities to enhance results across your portfolio. You will collaborate closely with agency leadership and cross-functional teams to deliver innovative digital programs while supporting operational excellence, team development, and continued agency growth.

This position plays an important role in strengthening the agency's digital offering, developing talent, and delivering best-in-class integrated marketing programs for our clients.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Digital Team Leadership & Strategic Oversight
  • Serve as a senior leader within the agency, contributing to dept goals, priorities, and operational direction.
  • Own the evolution of the digital service offering, identifying opportunities for innovation, expansion, and capability building.
  • Establish and maintain best practices, workflows, and standards across all digital accounts to ensure consistency and excellence.
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration with PR, Influencer, and Creative teams to ensure fully integrated campaign delivery.


Team Leadership & Development
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Digital Account Directors/Managers, Coordinators, and Specialists.
  • Provide clear direction, structure, and accountability across all account teams.
  • Oversee workload distribution, resourcing, and prioritization across the department.
  • Drive performance management, coaching, and professional development planning.
  • Work closely with HR on recruitment, onboarding, and talent development programs, including upskilling initiatives for the digital team.
  • Foster a high-performance, collaborative, and growth-oriented team culture.


Client Leadership & Account Oversight
  • Act as the senior strategic lead across key digital accounts, ensuring alignment with client business objectives.
  • Oversee client relationships at a senior level, acting as a trusted advisor to executive stakeholders.
  • Provide strategic oversight on integrated digital programs including organic social, paid media, influencer marketing, and content initiatives.
  • Ensure strong performance management across all accounts through KPI tracking, reporting, and optimization.
  • Lead or support key client meetings, quarterly reviews, and strategic planning sessions.
  • Identify and drive opportunities for account growth, retention, and expanded scopes of work.


Strategy, Content & Campaign Leadership
  • Oversee the development and execution of integrated digital strategies across all platforms, including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Pinterest, LinkedIn, YouTube, and emerging channels.
  • Lead content strategy development, editorial planning, and campaign roadmap creation.
  • Review and approve strategic recommendations, campaign concepts, and creative outputs prior to client delivery.
  • Ensure content and campaign quality aligns with brand strategy, performance goals, and platform best practices.
  • Translate data, insights, and analytics into actionable strategic recommendations.


Paid Media & Performance Oversight
  • Oversee paid media strategy and execution across Meta, TikTok, Pinterest, LinkedIn, and Google Ads.
  • Ensure campaigns are optimized for performance, efficiency, and ROI.
  • Guide performance analysis and reporting to continuously improve campaign outcomes.
  • Partner with internal specialists and external partners to maximize digital impact.
  • Work closely with SEO and analytics support to improve full-funnel performance.


Operational & Financial Oversight
  • Oversee department resourcing, budgeting, and profitability across all digital accounts.
  • Ensure accurate forecasting, tracking, and reporting using internal systems (e.g. Forecast).
  • Maintain oversight of MSAs, SOWs, timelines, and deliverable quality across all accounts.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and scalability.
  • Ensure strong financial discipline across all digital mandates.


Business Development & Agency Growth
  • Support new business efforts including pitches, RFPs, and proposal development.
  • Contribute to the growth of the Digital service offering and agency positioning.
  • Stay ahead of digital trends, platform changes, and emerging technologies to inform agency innovation.
  • Develop thought leadership and strategic POVs to strengthen agency market presence.
  • In this role, you will act as the senior leader responsible for both departmental oversight and key client leadership, ensuring the successful delivery of integrated digital, content, influencer, and paid media programs. You will guide a multidisciplinary team of digital strategists, account leads, and specialists, driving operational excellence, creative innovation, and measurable performance across all accounts.
  • This position is critical in supporting the continued growth and scaling of the Digital division as part of the agency's broader expansion strategy.


General Responsibilities
  • Delegate tasks, manage workback schedules, and ensure deadlines are met across accounts.
  • Attend key client meetings, industry events, and agency initiatives.
  • Collaborate with PR, Influencer, and Creative teams to deliver integrated campaigns.
  • Maintain strong relationships with vendors, photographers, videographers, and media partners.
  • Provide strategic input to agency marketing and thought leadership initiatives.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
  • 10+ years of experience in digital marketing, social media, or integrated communications (agency experience strongly preferred).
  • Proven experience in leading teams and overseeing multi-client portfolios at a senior level.
  • Strong background in digital strategy, content marketing, influencer marketing, and paid media.
  • Deep understanding of platform ecosystems including Meta, TikTok, Google, Pinterest, and LinkedIn Ads.
