Full Job Description

Job Overview:

The Director, Site Engagement and Partnership Delivery will drive global department strategies that lead to operational effectiveness as it relates to site partner performance. They will lead the global vision and partnership expansion and strategic partner collaborations that align to the Fortrea business needs and model.

This role is responsible for initiating and executing on the global strategy. It encompasses interactions with many stakeholders and activities in early planning, study start-up, and study conduct. This role requires experienced leadership and management capabilities which are necessary to lead larger scale department initiatives and strategic partner relationships. The role will be responsible for managing large geographical regions with a primary focus on site partner operational delivery and execution.

    Summary of Responsibilities:

    • Set and lead the Site Engagement and Partnership delivery strategy with relevant practices and alliances, development of value propositions, marketing activities and internal enablement.
    • Maintain and develop strategic site partnership relationships that contribute and are integrated into the Fortrea business model.
    • Lead initiatives and process improvement that contribute to operational and delivery excellence and incorporate site centricity strategies.
    • Collaborate with key stakeholders across the business to contribute to, and continually improve processes, tools, and communications, ensuring partnership delivery excellence.
    • Responsible for the selection, training, development, and performance management for assigned staff, ensuring that staff work to highest standards in compliance with current SOPs, relevant guidelines/policies, and regulatory requirement.
    • Responsible for optimizing department financial performance. Influence and maintain responsibility for the overall productivity of the functional business units.
    • Demonstrate the ability to effectively lead in a complex environment, set clear expectations, coach, and mentor for success, consistently communicate, and connect, foster a continuous learning environment.
    • Support Pre-Award and sales strategies that maximize the Site Engagement and Partnership model.
    • Participate and support key Sponsor alliances, developing and defining the site engagement and partnership strategies that contribute to client expectations and goals.

    Education (Minimum Required):

    • Master’s or other advanced degree from an appropriately accredited institution.
    • University/college degree – Life Sciences preferred or certification in a related allied health profession from an appropriately accredited institution (e.g., nursing certification, medical or laboratory technology).

    Experience (Minimum Required):

    • Minimum of 8-10 years relevant clinical research experience.
    • Minimum of 2-5 years supervisory experience in a healthcare or clinical research setting.
    • Relevant clinical research experience in a pharmaceutical company or CRO.
    • Individual is proficient with onsite monitoring activities (including pre-study, initiation, routine monitoring, and closeout visits).
    • Thorough knowledge of drug development process.
    • Thorough knowledge of relevant SOPs, ICH, and GCP guidelines.
    • Demonstrated ability to lead by example and to encourage team members to seek solutions.
    • Proven interpersonal skills.
    • Excellent planning and organizational skills.
    • Demonstrated ability to successfully manage multiple competing priorities.
    • Excellent oral, written and presentation skills.

    Preferred:

    • Knowledge of resource management systems.
    • Demonstrated ability to inspire and drive effective teamwork and influence staff within a matrix system.
    • Ability to understand and assess technology alternatives and implication for current processes.
    • Knowledge of Fortrea training, human resource, and performance appraisal processes.
    • Detailed knowledge of Fortrea and the overall structure of the organization.

    Physical Demands/Work Environment:

    • General Office environment or home-based.
    • Travel is primarily Domestic or Regional, up to 30% of the time, which will generally require an overnight stay.

    Pay Range: $160,000-180,000 USD
