THE ROLE IN A NUTSHELLThe Director, Signature Initiatives is a strategicleadership role responsible for setting the direction and overseeingGreenShield Cares' Signature Initiatives, with a primary focus on Women'sHealth and Essential Medicines.
This role brings together social impact and businessstrategy to design, scale, and optimize initiatives, programs, partnerships,and products that address critical health equity gaps while advancingenterprise priorities. The Director will foster a culture of innovation andshared value creation, aligning the organization's business strategy withsocietal needs through interdisciplinary leadership in a matrix environment.
By integrating social impact with business outcomes, thisrole plays a key part in advancing a sustainable social mission andstrengthening GreenShield's position as a force for good.
- Define and evolve shared value (CSV) strategy aligned with enterprise objectives and priority social issues
Identify and prioritize initiatives, products, and growth opportunities - Set long-term direction for scaling impact, including reach, depth, and sustainability
- Establish partnership strategy and approve key partners and scaling decisions
- Elevate GreenShield's visibility and influence in the health equity ecosystem
- Convene cross-sector partners across healthcare, community organizations, government, and private sectors
- Own portfolio-level investment strategy, including budget allocation and trade-offs
- Ensure strong governance, fiduciary oversight, and risk management
- Engage senior leadership on investment decisions and performance
- Integrate shared value initiatives into products, technology, and core operations
- Align cross-functional teams around shared priorities
- Establish governance structures, workflows, and decision-making processes
- Enable high-quality decision-making through reporting, insights, and governance practices
- Ensure alignment between impact metrics and enterprise goals
- Guide storytelling and narrative development to communicate outcomes and value
WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR- Master's degree in business, healthcare, social entrepreneurship, corporate social responsibility, or equivalent
- 10+ years of progressive experience in strategy, operations, innovation, social impact, or related fields
- Demonstrated leadership experience in strategy, innovation, or corporate social responsibility
- 6+ years of people leadership in a matrix environment, leading cross-functional teams
- Strong experience managing complex projects from planning through execution and reporting
- Proven ability to navigate ambiguity and complex systems
- Strong understanding of shared value principles and integrating social impact into business strategy
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
Nice to Have:- Experience in both nonprofit and corporate environments

- Background in management consulting or a related field
- Experience building blended value partnerships
