Full Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES

Directs, supervises all clinicians, and coordinates all service line activities in collaboration with the operational dyad for the assigned area of responsibility. This involves either direct or indirect responsibility for clinician staffing, budgeting, fiscal planning, telecommunications, clinician recruitment and relations, expansion and development of service line, and facility development, carried out through daily interaction with clinicians, managers, supervisors, and senior administrative personnel. Promotes the quality, appropriateness, and timeliness of healthcare delivery in keeping with the mission, vision, and values of the University Health System. The UMA CEO appoints this position

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

Must be Board Certified and have a current unrestricted license to practice medicine in Texas. Five years of experience in ambulatory care is preferred. Two-year expertise in management is preferred. Must maintain adequate continuing medical education credit hours as required by the Texas Medical Board and participate in educational activities in the field of health care management and leadership development. Must demonstrate a strong desire to perform and support community and preventive health care
