Summary

SUMMARY: Responsible for all aspects of clinical and business operations of the designated service line including business development, personnel management, fiscal management, strategic planning, physician recruitment plan, developing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and service line financial statements, contract management, and long-range planning of business affairs in collaboration with the Vice President of Ambulatory, Associate Chief Medical Officer and other specific department head.

DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: NOTE: Following are the duties performed by employees in this classification. However, employees may perform other related duties at an equivalent level. Not all duties listed are necessarily performed by each individual in the classification.

1. Accountable for the execution of short and long-term goals working collaboratively with AHS administration, physician leadership, nursing, finance, allied professionals, ancillary teams and other program administrators within the designated department to create a cohesive, quality and value- oriented department.

2. Develops comprehensive strategic plans, establish priorities and articulate a shared vision for the assigned services, in concert will appropriate stakeholders.

3. Develops plans to improving the operations, quality, market growth, and financial viability of the service line.

4. Performs other duties as required.

5. Plans, directs, coordinates and manages all clinical and non-clinical service line activities, projects and programs, including all aspects of clinical operations, staffing models, patient registration, patient billing, etc.

6. Provides oversight in the areas of in direct profit and loss, KPI development, revenue generation, and expenditure control to optimize the utilization of resource at greatest value.

7. Represents the service line on cross-functional committees; has external presence in community and professional organizations and societies.

8. Supervises staff and manages employee performance; provides on-going performance feedback, addresses problems, orients and trains employees, verifies competency and identifies and suggests way to develop skills; monitors workflow.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities as well as possession of any required licenses or certifications is qualifying.

Required Education: Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA), Nursing (MSN), Masters in HealthCare Administration (MHA) or Public Health (MPH) or related fields.

Required Licenses/Certifications : Valid license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of California

Required Experience: Seven years of progressive healthcare experience.

The pay range for this position reflects the base pay scale for the role at Alameda Health System. Final compensation will be determined based on several factors, including but not limited to a candidate's experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, departmental equity, applicable collective bargaining agreements, and the operational needs of the organization. Alameda Health System also offers eligible positions a generous comprehensive benefits program.

$85.44/hr - $142.40/hr
