Director Security
Job Summary and QualificationsThe Director of Security & Emergency Management is responsible for the strategic leadership, operational oversight, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement of the hospital's security, emergency preparedness, business continuity, workplace violence prevention, and incident command programs.
This role provides leadership for all physical security operations, emergency management planning, Environment of Care life safety coordination, disaster preparedness, and organizational resilience activities across the hospital campus and affiliated facilities and may also apply for and manage grant funding for emergency planning and management efforts.
The Director ensures compliance with Joint Commission standards, CMS Conditions of Participation, OSHA requirements, NFPA standards, HCA enterprise policies, local/state/federal emergency preparedness regulations, and healthcare-specific security requirements.
The position collaborates closely with hospital executive leadership, clinical leaders, facilities management, risk management, ethics and compliance, local law enforcement, EMS, fire agencies, and regional emergency management partners.What qualifications you will need:- Occasional/ Intermittent travel required
- Three (3) years experience Required Years of Experience
- ICS 100, 200, 700, and 800 required
- ICS 300 and 400 required within 6 months of hire
- Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Emergency Management, Healthcare Administration, Public Safety, Homeland Security, Business Administration, or related field.
