Job Title: Director, Sales Enablement - Client Data

Department: Global Distribution

Reports To: Senior Vice President, Head of Sales Enablement

Estimated Salary: $185,000 - $200,000

Job Summary:

The Director, Client Data will be responsible for managing the governance, quality, and lifecycle of critical client and intermediary data across Cohen & Steers' Distribution platform. Reporting to the Head of Sales Enablement, this role will serve as the primary owner of firm, office, advisor, consultant, and institutional entity data, ensuring consistency and accuracy across Salesforce CRM, Master Data Management (MDM) platforms, and third-party data providers.

This individual will oversee key data and reporting workflows supporting Distribution, Marketing, Product, and senior leadership, while acting as the primary liaison with external data partners. The role will be responsible for maintaining trusted data assets, ensuring the integrity of recurring reporting, and driving data quality standards that support business decision-making and client engagement activities across the firm.

Major Responsibilities/Activities:
  • Own the governance, mastering, and lifecycle management of firm, office, advisor, consultant, and institutional entity data across CRM, MDM, and third-party data platforms.
  • Establish and maintain data quality standards, matching logic, survivorship rules, and stewardship processes to ensure the integrity of enterprise "golden record" data.
  • Provide oversight of client data and reporting workflows, ensuring continuity across key sales, trade, flow, and competitive intelligence data sources used throughout the organization.
  • Serve as the primary relationship manager for external data providers, including SS&C, Broadridge, SEI, and other strategic data vendors.
  • Manage recurring data feeds, validations, reconciliations, and issue-resolution processes to ensure the accuracy, timeliness, and consistency of reporting outputs.
  • Partner with Distribution, Marketing, Product, Technology, and senior leadership teams to support data-driven decision making and business reporting needs.
  • Monitor and improve the quality of client, channel, intermediary, and product-level data used across sales and analytics platforms.
  • Develop and maintain documentation related to data governance standards, business processes, vendor relationships, data dependencies, recurring deliverables, and operational procedures.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities related to data management, reporting automation, and platform integration.
  • Support ongoing data initiatives and strategic projects designed to enhance the firm's client intelligence and reporting capabilities.


Minimum Requirements:
  • 7+ years of experience in data governance, master data management, CRM administration, sales operations, business intelligence, or related functions.
  • Strong understanding of client, intermediary, advisor, consultant, and organizational data structures within asset management or financial services.
  • Experience managing and validating complex data feeds and reporting processes from multiple internal and external sources.
  • Demonstrated experience working with CRM and data management platforms, including Salesforce and MDM solutions.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data quality management skills.
  • Experience managing vendor relationships and coordinating with third-party data providers.
  • Ability to document business processes, operational procedures, and data governance standards.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality results in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Asset management industry experience.
  • Experience with Salesforce, Master Data Management (MDM) platforms, and business intelligence tools.
  • Familiarity with intermediary distribution data, mutual fund trade data, market intelligence, and competitive positioning datasets.
  • Experience working with Broadridge, SS&C, SEI, or comparable financial services data providers.
  • Knowledge of data governance frameworks, record matching methodologies, and data stewardship best practices.
