COMPENSATION: $120,000 - $160,000/yr + commission earnings
Role Summary :
The
Director, Sales will play a critical role in driving Clarapath's sales strategy, revenue growth, and market expansion for Clarapath's advanced SectionStar• and TrimStar Pro• platforms. This individual will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive sales strategy, cultivating strategic customer relationships, and identifying new business opportunities across the pathology, healthcare, and life sciences industries. Working closely with business development, marketing, product, service, and other customer-facing teams, the Director, Sales will lead efforts to build a strong and sustainable sales pipeline, expand Clarapath's customer base, develop key strategic accounts, and drive successful adoption of Clarapath's innovative laboratory automation solutions. This role will also help establish scalable sales processes, develop sales talent, and provide leadership and direction to support the company's continued growth. We are seeking a strategic, entrepreneurial, and results-oriented sales leader who is passionate about building relationships, developing talent, and navigating complex, consultative sales opportunities.
The ideal candidate has a proven track record of leading sales teams and driving revenue growth within medical technology, healthcare, diagnostics, life sciences, or a related industry. They are comfortable communicating complex technology and value propositions to a variety of stakeholders, including laboratory leaders, pathologists, healthcare executives, and other key decision-makers. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and is excited about representing innovative medical technology that is transforming laboratory workflows and improving patient care.
Responsibilities :
- Develop and execute Clarapath's sales strategy to achieve revenue and growth objectives
- Build, manage, and maintain a strong sales pipeline across target markets and customer segments
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within pathology, healthcare, life sciences, and related markets
- Develop and maintain strategic relationships with key customers, prospects, partners, and industry stakeholders
- Lead complex, consultative sales processes from initial engagement through negotiation, contracting, and implementation
- Establish and maintain effective sales processes, methodologies, forecasting practices, and performance metrics
- Develop account strategies for high-value and strategic customers to drive long-term growth and adoption
- Coach, mentor, and develop sales team members to support a high-performing sales organization
- Partner closely with Business Development and Marketing to develop market strategies, lead-generation initiatives, and customer engagement programs
- Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Service, and other cross-functional teams to effectively communicate customer needs and market feedback
- Develop a deep understanding of Clarapath's products, competitive landscape, customer needs, and evolving market opportunities
- Present Clarapath's technology, capabilities, and value proposition to executives, laboratory leaders, pathologists, and other stakeholders
- Participate in customer meetings, industry conferences, trade shows, demonstrations, and other business development activities as needed
- Monitor market trends, customer needs, and competitive activity to identify opportunities for growth and differentiation
- Provide regular sales forecasts, pipeline updates, market insights, and performance reporting to senior leadership
- Establish strong relationships with internal teams to ensure a coordinated and positive customer experience throughout the sales cycle
- Support the development of pricing, proposals, contracts, and other materials required to advance opportunities
- Represent Clarapath professionally and serve as a strong ambassador for the company and its products
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Life Sciences, Engineering, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred
- 7+ years of progressive sales experience, with demonstrated success in medical technology, healthcare, diagnostics, laboratory automation, life sciences, or a related industry
- Prior experience developing a sales team
- Proven experience driving revenue growth and managing complex, consultative sales cycles
- Experience selling technology or solutions involving multiple stakeholders and extended purchasing processes
- Demonstrated ability to develop strategic customer relationships and build long-term partnerships.
- Strong business acumen and understanding of sales forecasting, pipeline management, and sales performance metrics
- Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts and business value to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Strong coaching and team-building skills.
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed
- Strong understanding of healthcare, pathology, laboratory, diagnostics, or life sciences markets, a plus
