OverviewShift: Monday-Friday; 8:00 AM - 4:30 PMAs the Director of Surgical Services, you'll play a key leadership role in shaping the future of surgical care across our organization. This dynamic position is responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating strategic plans for Surgical Services, including Surgery, Pre/Post Surgery, Endoscopy, PACU, Anesthesia, Central Sterile, the Pain Center, and the Wound Healing Center, ensuring alignment with the organization's mission, vision, and strategic goals.

From operational excellence and financial stewardship to clinical quality and patient experience, you'll guide multidisciplinary teams in delivering safe, efficient, and compassionate care. Responsibilities- Responsible for the recruitment, hiring, onboarding, evaluation, and professional development of management team members to build and sustain an effective leadership team.
- Develops and maintains succession plans for anticipated and unplanned vacancies within key Service Line leadership positions.
- Oversees daily operations and activities within assigned departments and service areas.
- Directs staffing operations and personnel administration for one or more functional organizational units.
- Provides operational guidance, leadership support, and functional oversight to departments within the assigned areas of responsibility.
- Develops annual goals, objectives, and strategic plans, while evaluating and revising organizational structures to support operational needs and strategic priorities
- Partners with VP of Operations and hospital and clinic leaders to develop and implement operational plans that support strategic priorities and organizational goals.
QualificationsEducation:- Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing or Health related profession.
License(s)/Certification(s):- Current RN Licensure in State of Iowa or applicable compact state. Must be licensed in state of residence.
Experience:- Five years of professional experience required.
- Two years of previous management experience required.
