Full Job Description
The Director of Real Estate and Small Business Servicing and Funding provides strategic and operational leadership for the end-to-end real estate and Small Business servicing and funding functions, including loan boarding, payment processing, escrow administration, insurance and collateral management, payoff and satisfaction processing, post-closing funding, exception resolution, member experience, and servicing related vendors oversight. This position is also responsible for funding activities related to Commercial Real Estate. This role is accountable for building scalable processes, strengthening controls, ensuring compliance with applicable investor, agency, federal, and state requirements, and partnering across mortgage operations, lending, compliance, risk, finance, and technology to improve performance, service quality, and operational efficiency. The Director leads managers and teams, develops talent, establishes performance expectations, and drives continuous improvement initiatives that support organizational goals and a high-quality member experience, with strong emphasis on Fannie Mae servicing requirements and best practices.
Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am- 4:00pm. Onsite requirement is 60% - 3 days.
In this position, you will
• Provide strategic leadership and oversight for real estate and small business servicing and funding operations, ensuring timely, accurate, compliant, and member-focused execution across the post-closing lifecycle for residential and small business .
• Direct and optimize key functions including loan boarding, funding, payment processing, escrow administration, insurance loss drafts, collateral and document control, payoff processing, lien satisfaction, and servicing maintenance.
• Establish departmental goals, service standards, controls, and performance metrics; analyze trends and operational results to identify risks, improve quality, and increase efficiency and scalability.
• Partner with compliance, legal, audit, risk, secondary marketing, finance, and technology teams to implement regulatory, investor, and system changes while maintaining a strong control environment.
• Lead, coach, and develop managers and staff; oversee workforce planning, succession planning, change management, and employee engagement to build a high-performing team.
• Manage third-party servicing related partners, audits, examinations, issue remediation, and process improvement initiatives to ensure operational resilience, compliance, and strong member outcomes.

Qualifications:
