Overview

POSITION SUMMARY STATEMENT:

The Director, Corporate Quality Compliance provides strategic leadership and oversight of enterprise-wide Quality Compliance programs, including Document Control, Product Complaints, Stability, Certification, Labeling/SKU governance, and Product Lifecycle Management. This role ensures that global quality systems, policies, and programs are designed, implemented, and maintained in full compliance with applicable regulatory requirements and industry standards.  The Director leads the corporate audit and compliance framework, driving consistent execution across sites and regions while strengthening processes, enhancing compliance maturity, and ensuring sustainable adherence to evolving regulatory expectations.

 

DETAILED RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:  

Quality Compliance Leadership & Governance Provide leadership and oversight of corporate Quality Compliance functions, including Document Control, Product Complaints, Stability, Certification, Labeling/SKU governance, and Product Lifecycle Management Establish, implement, and continuously improve quality policies, standards, and procedures to ensure alignment with regulatory requirements and corporate quality objectives Drive performance against established KPIs, ensuring visibility, accountability, and continuous improvement across compliance programs Serve as a subject matter expert in the interpretation and application of global regulatory requirements and standards (e.g., 21 CFR Parts 111, 117, 114; Halal, Kosher, Non-GMO, Gluten-Free)________________________________________Audit, Regulatory Compliance & Risk Management Govern and maintain the enterprise audit management framework within the Master Control Audit Management system, ensuring standardized workflows, audit documentation, tracking, and reporting across the organization Ensure effective utilization of the Master Control Audit Management workflow to drive audit readiness, real-time visibility, and timely closure of audit findings and commitments Drive consistency and harmonization of audit processes, tools, and methodologies across global sites to ensure alignment with corporate and regulatory expectationsbbbbbEnsure consistent implementation of compliance programs and regulatory requirements across the enterprise Maintain required facility registrations and oversee third-party certification programs (e.g., NSF) Ensure timely and effective resolution of audit observations, deviations, and nonconformance investigations, including escalation of significant compliance risks to senior leadership________________________________________Food Safety & Compliance Programs (FSMA) Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, including FSMA requirements and Preventive Controls programs Maintain qualified PCQIs and ensure appropriate training and certification across sites Oversee monitoring, verification, and validation activities for all food safety plans Manage allergen control, gluten-free, and related compliance programs________________________________________Training & Cross-Functional Collaboration Lead the development and delivery of compliance-related training programs in partnership with the training function Assess training effectiveness and drive continuous improvement in compliance capabilities Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders and Global Regulatory Affairs (GRA) to ensure timely provision of compliance documentation (e.g., certificates of manufacture, import documentation) Provide recommendations and action plans to senior leadership on critical quality and product safety issues Prepare and present quality trends, risk insights, and compliance status updates to executive leadership________________________________________People Leadership & Organizational Development Lead, develop, and manage Quality Compliance teams, including hiring, performance management, coaching, and succession planning Foster a culture of quality, compliance, and continuous improvement across the organization Ensure adherence to company policies, including safety, quality, ethics, and conduct

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Extensive knowledge of global GMP regulations, FDA requirements, and quality system documentation practicesa0 Demonstrated leadership in managing enterprise Quality Assurance and compliance programs within a regulated environment Strong expertise in interpreting and applying regulatory requirements (e.g., 21 CFR Parts 111, 117, 114) and industry standards Ability to influence and collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams and senior leadership Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex regulatory concepts to diverse audiences Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop high-performing teams, including organizational capability building Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess risk and drive sound compliance decisions

Experience:b Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in Quality Assurance within a regulated industry Minimum 5 years of leadership experience managing Quality Assurance or compliance functions at a site, regional or corporate level

 

Education:b Bachelor9s degree in scientific discipline (e.g., Chemistry, Biology, Food Science, or related field)
